I would just wait until next month for the 6 core coffee lake. It will fit the mainstream vs enthusiast MBs, so should be a lot cheaper to build with than the new X models. Plus it's already been said that the first iteration of the 10nm chips will likely be low power ones for laptops. It may be some time before we see anything in cannonlake for serious gamers.

Benchmark Scores Suggestions.
Like Mussels i feel im running an old system lol. Mind you ive had it for a while but gaming on 1440p i dont see any big frame drops on my system with all the games ive played so far.

Would suggest to go with what the others have said and go with the Ryzen. Since the i7 7700K will not give you a significant performance boost in 4k over your 4770k.

I could use boost in 4k performance for sure. Been wanting to upgrade my 6600K so I can install it in my daughter's gaming rig.
