Why 1,5Ghz..........maybe its because of speed step???...... Mein got

It worked @ full speed. Look@video. It got 7058pts without cooler with is good score for G4560 (compared to g4560 with cooler).

When i'm looking at steam lining a PC with weight reduction the first thing I toss is the heatsync's then the ....lol only kidding. That first video of them poor AMD chips sizzling :eek:

No, it isn't. It's at stock speed and you can see values in the third "max" column. Maybe he lowered core voltage, so the chip at full speed runs at slightly lower voltage. It's possible to do that, even more if he's got a golden sample.

That said, just because you see peak, doesnt mean it holds there. Where i got confused was thinking the test was still running when he showed hwmonitor and the low clocks.

More n more mother boards are made with better thermale properties around the CPU socket. Some are even made to remove heat from the socket area.

Man this reminds me of old times. That time we were only concern about getting it cooler by the hour.

I remember some asked me that small part of the compound slid off and went into the CPU socket. lol it was a funny moment.

LOL this brings back memories

when I built our HTPC on a measly G3220 had something similar just not intentional... ITX in a cramped case, built everything in, fired it up, installed realtemp and ran a P95, saw realtemp report 80C+ and stabilize at 88 C and started wondering why it'd get so hot. Opened up the case, discovered the Intel cooler's fan wasn't spinning because the fan wire had been caught between the fan blades

So yeah Ill agree these are tough little baddies

CPU survived and PC still runs to this day no problemo

Don't need one, I'll even use proper cooling. Hell anything post a64 you can even pick the core voltage.

I'm pretty good at pushing memory controllers. Those are my speciality. I still have some DDR2 that is no stranger to 4.2vdimm. No that isn't a typo.
