How about something less stressful than Prime95? It's absurd that at 1.25V a Core i7 3770K overclocked at 4.5 GHz would hit 99 C with Cooler Master Hyper 212 installed on it during some of the iterations.

Is there any other good CPU stress test program that could run without reaching temperatures in excess of 90+ C all the times as in Prime95?

Something like Cinebench R15, but lasting indefinitely.

Benchmark Scores Faster than yours... I'd bet on it. :)
You can use an older version without avx...

Run aida64...if you want a64 to be more stressful, run only fpu test.

You can try realbench stress test as it uses actual looping programs..

I dont use anything but aida64 these days for stress testing and it works great for MY needs.

Great to see you reply so fast. So you use AIDA64 a lot. Do you know a way of setting a custom time for any of those tests? All the tests there last for a very short amount of time. I need something that fills CPU's memory cache time after time with different data blocks, similar like in Prime95, but not killing it.

there is also a CPU stress option in CPUZ, its on the benching tab, option for stressing.

AIDA 64 stress test , with only the FPU checked , if you check CPU also it will generate less heat because it essentially bottlenecks the commands issued.

I need something that fills CPU's memory cache time after time with different data blocks, similar like in Prime95, but not killing it.

I am doubtful that is the main culprit for generating heat in normal use scenarios. Vast majority of the time the software you use doesn't fit into the cache to wreck it so much.

AIDA64 is definitely the way to go. I haven't used PRIME95 in quite sometime. It just hammers your processor and places an unrealistically heavy load on it. Although any stress test would be pushing the limits of what a Cooler Master Hyper 212 could manage.

There is a free trial version of AIDA you can download if you dont want to purchase the full program.

Actually AIDA64 does the job pretty good so far. I forgot how versatile it is. I used to use it in the past only for PC info.

ASUS RealBench

It stresses the system with realistic workload, basically it runs a H.264 video encoder on CPU and 3D render (done on both, GPU and CPU) at the same time until you stop it.

i use the cpuburner that comes with furmark.. i just set it for 8 threads and leave it running while i browse which is most of the time.. if the system dosnt crash after an hour or so i consider it stable..

realtemp shows my 7700K at 4.8 ghz running at around 80 C while i do this.. its seems current intel chips are hitting a clock speed heat barrier which is not really practical to go past..

gaming with my two cards generating 500 watts or so of extra heat in the case my cpu can get as high as 95 C during summer months.. in the winter i can run 5 ghz and see the same tempts..

trog

ps.. running 4 K video editing software i only see temps of around 75 C max.. my asus bios does let me run a clock speed off-set for the likes of prime 95 type instructions.. so i could run say 5 ghz with the clock speed dropping to say 4.6 ghz when needed.. it also let me set a temp limit lower than intels 100 C if i want to.. but in the end clock speed is limited by the heat barrier..

Also you can try Passmark,Sisoft Sandra,Cinebench......but Sandra is also stressful and produce a lot of heat, passmark is cool and it´s not long it will rise temp but that will last just a few sec. so that you know how your cpu is acting under the full load......Never the less if your cpu "survive"Prime 95 for 20-30 min and don´t make any errors it´s 99%possibility that is stable in any other application and it will probably never make that high temps in every day use.......
