Coil Buzz Fix Options

Hey guys. I have a Gigabyte GTX 1070 Mini OC and while quite happy with the performance its slowly starting to produce coil "buzz" when gaming. I understand that coil whine is a complete crap shoot - one card may have it and another may not. I have a old Cooler Master Stacker 830 case with with a screen like mesh on the side panels, top and front. Needless to say if a component makes noise I'm going to hear it. Here are my three options:

1. Replace the case with a "quiet" case such as a Fractal Design R5 or Corsair 330R that has insulation to block noise. Probably going to spend about $100 for such a case.

2. Replace the card with a better quality GTX 1070 (such as an MSI Gaming) and keep my fingers crossed it doesn't have coil whine. Selling my current card + buying a new one at today's mining inflated prices would also be about $100 out of pocket.

3. RMA my current card and hope Gigabyte replaces it with one that doesn't have the issue (if they'll even approve an RMA for such a problem).

What would you guys do? Oh, and no, I don't want to wear headphones.

60 Hz monitor, using Nvidia adaptive vertical sync. The system specs are correct save for the GPU (now shows it).

try using standard sync not adaptive and fix it to 60hz.
coil whine is game specific or it is constant and not specific to the usage.

I tried in-game vertical sync (this is just WoW we're talking about). No difference. Fallout 4 has permanent in-game vertical sync and it does it with that game as well. Its just while gaming. I have two PCs - the other has a Seasonic X-560 Gold power supply and I've tried it with that one. Still does it.

try rma
normally fix is as easy as to palce some hot glue around the coil that do it but if card is in warranty why you should bother when it is gigabyte duty to take care of it.

Glue gun over the coil. I did this to my old xfx 5770 fixed it.

I have the same card here and its not showing those signs yet. The card stays pretty cool though.

Indeed it does! I have been really impressed with how little the fan spins up and how cool it runs given its size and single fan. If it just didn't have that fluttering, buzzing noise I'd be in heaven. lol
