I did some research and it turns out that after you beat the game you can go into that Save Game profile and use the mission select and basically just start from the beginning with all of your weapons and upgrades that you got throughout the campaign.

I can confirm this! there is also an arcade mode, where you choose the upgrades you want, map and difficulty and compete to get the most points!

Does anybody know if there is a Game Plus mode where after you beat the campaign, you can start over with all of the weapons and upgrades that you had from the previous playthrough?
No, some say Mission Select suffices for that, but it really doesn't IMO. It doesn't retain your progress point within a mission. It's really only for going back to get collectibles you missed. They're added to your main game progress. This means to use it for play throughs, you have to play to the end of the mission you're on, and hope you can remember which one you left off with on your next session. You also have to hope you don't get the occasional screen freeze lockup many do, because it means restarting the whole mission. I learned this the hard way when I tried to use Mission Select for NG+. Trust me, it's better just to regather things, especially if you get the occasional freezes..

I used to get upset at how hard to find some things are though, so Mission Select is handy for that. I also find I enjoy the challenge of having to find weapons and items to upgrade them on subsequent play throughs. I have to admit, though it can get frustrating finding some things, they were clever enough at how they hid them, and offered a good enough variety in the way they did. So it adds to the replay value without feeling like monotony. However I did kinda get upset last session when I missed 4 secrets in Argent Facility, causing me to miss the Gauss Rifle. What's really frustrating is when you can see a secret on the map, like a Doomguy doll, but have no idea how to get to it.

Was watching a walk through on ING, the guys game flows so good. There is something im missing or what? I know how to bring up the map, and follow n find the Icons.

THANKS IN ADVANCE!

Ultra-Nightmare huh, impressive.

I do have to say that is my favorite level of the entire game. The fight scene for the entirety of disabling those four nodes for Vega is absolutely insane!

Yeah! the unrelenting wave of demons that come after you after destroying the coolant system is one of the best combat scenarios in the game.

Does anybody know if there is a Game Plus mode where after you beat the campaign, you can start over with all of the weapons and upgrades that you had from the previous playthrough?

You can select missions on a save file that you've completed the game with. You'll retain all weapon/suit/status upgrades that you've collected throughout the entire game from that save file.

Just started playing this, thankfully working in wine with vulkan. I can't believe I did not get this day one. The wife and I are both enjoying it. Played a bit of multi-player tonight, I might be hooked for a bit.

Well, there's no New Game + if that's what you mean. Replaying missions allows you to pick up anything you missed, which also applies to any missions beyond that. You can also play a fresh game by picking another save slot, or overwriting one.

If you get freeze crashes like many of us do though, I do not recommend mission select for a pseudo NG+. It won't retain your progress within a level, so you have to finish every level you start and crashes wipe out all progress in that level. And it won't retain the last mission you played, so you have to remember what level you played last on your next session.

Doom was one of the best surprises i've experienced in a long long time. Last time a fast paced shooter gave me so much fun was Serious Sam 3. Nor Painkiller HD, nor Bulletstorm, nor Hard Reset gave me so much fun as Doom remake did! I liked the game so much that i am making a huge video for it with some heavy editing. The problem is how to get it on youtube without being copy-fringed using Metallica songs...

Been playing a lot of MP lately, it's so much fun. Really don't know how this game slipped under my radar. There are obvious issues, but it is just a blast running and jumping around tearing people apart as a demon or blasting them in the back with a shotgun four times because everything moves so fast and they can't figure out where you are lol.
