MSI Announces Availability of Their "Infinite A" Gaming Desktop

The previously announced Infinite A gaming desktop from MSI is now officially shipping to consumers, retailers and etailers worldwide, with a wide choice of configuration being available for users who know exactly what they want (from MSI's portfolio of products, naturally.) The desktop is built around a custom-designed chassis by MSI, which incorporates RGB LED elements (controlled by MSI's Mystic Light RGB software), along with a standoffish, tempered glass side panel.

MSI says the Infinite A is infinitely upgradeable, which I guess is true of most ATX cases. The vertical GPU mount is surely a distinguishing feature, though MSI seems to have found that the perfect solution for correct cooling of the graphics card was the usage of standoffs in the tempered glass panel, which seem a little impractical in dusty environments. There goes the benefit of all those dust filters in your case! The Infinite A desktop is available now directly from MSI and other etailers; luckily, pricing isn't infinite, as the base Infinite A starts at $1,299 and goes up to $1,999 according to the chosen configuration.

Included in those costs are OS, assembly/testing, and warranty service. Something you won't get for your full system if you buy the parts and build your own. For many people, this is worth paying for...

There's nothing wrong with these people. They wouldn't have products like these if they didn't sell, and they keep making newer ones because they keep selling them.

That's not to say I don't understand where you are coming from, but c'mon now...

You couldn't build a pc with those specs for 1299 if you tried. An MSI 1070 and 7700 will set you back $800. $130 for ram, $60 for a psu. $100 for a mobo, $130 for an nvme ssd. Thats already $1220.

On top of that, try to find me a case with those features. Front USB-C and HDMI. Don't care much about the RGB but its alright i guess.

Its damn cheap for all the stuff you get, warranty and service included. Plus its upgradable.

Aye, these OEM built gaming machines are very decent compared to the "gaming" machines some retailers dump on unknowing customers.

If you want a decent GPU at MSRP, prebuilt systems is the only way to go these days. Most retailers have bloated prices for gpus or they are out of stock most of the times.

I like the side (vertical) GPU mount with the vents to the outside.
Don't like the tempered glass as a whole, I rather have ventilation.

I wish more case manufactures made simular types, instead of all this RBG/temper glass stuff.

similarly priced custom-built rig comes in at $1962, but has better quality parts to boot. Sorry MSI, looks like u can only rip mindless consumers with your overpriced, LQ pre-built "gaming rig".
