CableModz custom cables are still imo the way to go. You can choose any color combination you want and select which wires are which color with their configurator. They are full cable kits and you can choose individual cables and lengths.

Yeah, extensions always seem dumb to me. I get that they're cheaper than full cable kits, but adding length to power cables is bad on many levels - more mess, higher voltage drop, higher resistive losses. Oh, and adding in another set of connectors in the middle really doesn't help.

Well, I myself like Bitfenix extensions, tho I have couple Silverstone cables as well. I doubt that this kit includes cable combs?

People don't do them because they want to. They do them because they NEED to for one connection or another. An oddly placed cable or power plug on the motherboard or GPU, as well as our current passion for hiding cables behind the motherboard tray, causes a number of cables to not be long enough, depending on the PSU.

Also with cases from this day, when we have PSU shrouds, those lengths of cables with extensions shouldn't be still a problem, since they can be hidden there.

Well my roommate doesnt fall under that. He did it for aesthetics as i think most people do as well with kits like this.

After checking the price of these cables, I just said "no thanks" to myself. They're nice, but I'm not stupid to pay this amount of money for CABLES.

That's my impression as well. People don't buy expensive individually sleeved cable kits because they need extensions - a $5 unsleeved job will work just fine for that.
