ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) announced Strix Fusion 300, the first gaming headset in the brand-new ROG Strix Fusion series. Featuring an exclusive, airtight chamber design, 50mm ASUS Essence drivers, built-in virtual 7.1-channel surround sound and ROG Hybrid ear cushions.

Strix Fusion 300 lets users enjoy fully immersive gaming experiences with uncompromising comfort and sound quality. Strix Fusion 300 is compact and lightweight to provide maximum comfort during marathon gaming sessions, and features a futuristic, metallic design accented by stylish lighting effects. Compatible with a wide range of devices - including PC, Mac, game consoles and smartphones - Strix Fusion 300 delivers immersive gaming and media enjoyment at home or on the go.

Strix Fusion 300 features an exclusive airtight chamber design with larger ear cups that allow more air to circulate within each chamber and rubber seals that prevent air from escaping, resulting in richer, fuller sound. The headset also features premium, 50mm ASUS Essence drivers that are fitted with metal covers instead of conventional plastic covers to deliver pristine mid- and high-range sound coupled with tight, punchy bass. With its incredible all-around audio performance, Strix Fusion 300 is perfect not only for gaming, but also for enjoying music and movies.

Designed for marathon gaming
Strix Fusion 300 has a compact and lightweight design that that is ideal for marathon gaming sessions. ROG Hybrid ear cushions combine soft, sound-isolating protein leather and breathable fabric mesh for maximum comfort without compromising sound quality. The ear cushions have a wrap-around design that provides a 30%-larger coverage area and 50%-better sound isolation than traditional ear cushions to let gamers enjoy longer, more immersive gaming sessions without fatigue.

Cross-platform compatibility for multiple gaming scenarios
Strix Fusion 300 features both a USB 2.0 connector and a 3.5 mm audio connector for compatibility with a wide range of devices, including PC, Mac, game consoles and smartphones. Built-in 7.1-channel virtual surround sound eliminates the need for separate surround-sound or dongles, and can be easily activated with one click of a dedicated button on the headset, letting users enjoy immersive audio for gaming, music or videos anytime, even when on the go.

AVAILABILITY & PRICING
ASUS ROG Strix Fusion 300 will be available by the end of September with an RRP of £99.99. Please contact your local ASUS representative for further information.

If it's good, I might get it instead of a kraken pro v2. Would look better on the go too.

Yeah, I'm surprised by this too. The disputed King of RGB doesn't have RGB on their LED headset?

Why wouldnt you just get a real set of cans like audio technicas or sennheiser if you want something for the go too.

Because normal headphones don't have a (good) mic, don't have the right sound for my games, etc. and I don't feel like having two sets of cans lying around and somehow always being in the way.

Besides, I hardly ever use headphones on the go, so there's no point in getting an expensive dedicated set for maybe 30 hours a year at most.

It's 2017, that's not an excuse anymore. Every manufacturer has a headset version with many variants of their top headphones. They're not for everybody you'd be surprised for example like living with other people would quickly make the pendulum swing the other way.
