ASUS ROG Strix RX Vega 64 Clock Speeds Revealed

ASUS may have been among the first to unveil its custom-design Radeon RX Vega 64 graphics cards with the ROG Strix Radeon RX Vega 64 (model: ROG-STRIX-RXVEGA64-O8G-GAMING), but kept its clock-speeds under the wraps. The company updated its product page, revealing the clock speeds. Out of the box, the card is clocked at 1298 MHz core, with 1590 MHz boost, and an untouched 945 MHz memory, against AMD-reference clock speeds of "up to 1546 MHz" GPU clock for the air-cooled RX Vega 64. It still pales in comparison to the RX Vega 64 Liquid Edition SKU, which ticks at 1677 MHz core and 1750 MHz boost. The company is yet to update the product page of its ROG Strix RX Vega 56 O8G.

AMD sort of shot themselves in the foot by making an additional reference card with AIO and factory overclock available at launch, as it makes AIB cards look weak by comparison.

I'm in doubt between 1080Ti Poseidon and NVIDIA Volta waiting.
I like Poseidon very much and finaly when I could afford him don't know what to do, to wait little more or upgrade.
780Ti is enough for my needs at the moment. But many games wait for stronger GPU.

You always can get reference design, attach water block, and update bios from water cooled vega for factory. Get cheaper than all aftet market gpu's and better performance.

If you can wait 5-6 month until nvidia release a new gpu, so wait.

Even without RGB it was overpriced. The Asus premium... gets doubled if you wanted an OC-able Pascal Strix card. Totally ridiculous. Same shroud, just artificially locked.

So damn late to the party, if i wanted GTX 1080 performance i would have bought it.... last year.

Looking forward to the potential delights GV104 brings some time early next year.

My Vega 64 LC most of the time is at 1680 and goes up to 1740 depending the game load
