Problem with 7700k and Cooling

The AIO 280mm i can put in front at intake, but dont know how model can fit well or is all the same

Because that case will take up to a 360 mm rad in front, getting a 280 mm to fit should not be a problem.

If you can fit it, go for it. It's not necessary though. 240 will easily cool a stock 7700k. I'd say spend the rest of your money on fans (at least if you got a Corsair like me).

Even a damn Hyper 212 will *almost* cool a stock 7700k. Just takes a little tweaking on voltage. But you'll get 20 more degrees with an AIO.

I think i go for the Noctua, is similar cooling like a 280mm AIO but is quiet and easy to install...

I like a silence system, either my gpu at 65% the fans are louder so a Aio i think that well be worse than air cooling

like already mentioned, there are air coolers that are just as good as the Noctua for half the price of the Noctua. I recommend the Deep Cool Assassin II or Lucifer V2. Yes, thier names are rediculous, but they really are very good heatsinks. I've had both on i7 3930k CPUs running 100% full load and OC'ed to 4 GHz for weeks at a time while keeping the temps under 80'c.

This is my current Assassin heatsink's performance. I have not cleaned the inside of my case in over a year and admittably, there is a lot of dust and lent built up on the heatsink causing it not to perform as well as it can. But it is still doing the job -

Thanks, the Assassin's is $70, the Noctua D15s is $80, but the Assassin's seems to be bigger than noctua ( i will go for the 1 fan noctua, the D15S, not the Dh15).

The Lucifer is $50, 20 mm shorter, and 40 mm thinner. Comparing it to the Assassin, the Lucifer's temps were within 3' c of the Assassin's.

Sure is a good alternative, but Noctua D15s is better at cooling for a 7700k oced, the Deepcool is a little worse at temps i think, but is smaller than a Noctua... I think that the D15S is a very good option is the size fit

Your kidding right? A Lucifer V2 keeps a 130 watt 6c/12t 3930k OC'ed to 4 GHz and running at 100% full load for weeks on end in the 80'c range, and you think the D15S is going to perform better cooling your 91 watt 4c/8 7700k, enough to justify a $40 higher cost? I'm out, good luck dude.

No no, not kidding, i dont understood too much, sorry... I am afraid only that the lucifer cant handle a 7700k oced but i dont search review or dont have. And the noctua is very ugly, but i dont understood too much about cooling so i dont know what to do. Thanks again

to put it as simply as I can, the 3930k generates more heat than the 7700k. If a heatsink can handle the heat of a OC'ed 3930k, it can easily handle a OC'ed 7700k.

Thanks again for the patience, i am see the Noctua D15s with fan is 160/150/135mm, the Lucifer v2 with fan is 168/140/136mm..

My last chance to be not afraid that not keep it in my mother is to get the size of the center of my actual cooler to the rams and to the gpu, i right? Or u think that the Lucifer fit sure? I have a Matx board with 3 kits of ram and another gtx 1080 in a Corsair 400c

the video card won't be an issue. as for the RAM, as long as it doesn't have a very tall heat spreader on it like G Skill Ripjaws, you shouldn't have a problem.

Those don't have any heatsinks at all, so you're good. You'll know the kind that cause problems if they have a bulky apparatus attached to the memory stick. Like the Kingston Predators. While Kingston Fury is a smaller heatsink that doesn't cause issues either.
