I know that it just the the millivolt chart on my gtx 660 were not smooth as from the boost chart start from 841mhz all the way to 1033mhz as the linear curve in the middle where dipping below the flatline like it was starved of power to the gpu core. I will post a picture soon to explain my case as before the game would crash about 2 mins to 25 mins on stock bios as i was getting alot of nvidia driver crashes and recovered with event error 4101. It like gpu core is unstable. But with the tweaked bios it dont crash as i tested it with resident evil 7 as i used to get fatal application crash which shows the graphic card error like dx11cpp 3490 which explains the graphic card is not faulty and i dont use the msi afterburner as it just dont like my gtx 660 and makes games lagging. And the temperature are in checked and all the parts are clean and dust free

Check if your vsync is enabled in the game that is having the stuttering and make sure it in the pcie x16 lane and the pcie mode is on 2.0 on bios depending on motherboard

NVIDIA has strange ways. If they were bragging about smoothness in the past, GTX 1080 series certainly aren't showing that anymore. Then again, I don't know in what state RX Vega is now and if it's any better or worse in this regard.

There is no v-sync setting in the game.

You have to set the profile for the game in the nvidia control panel to enable the vsync

If there's no V-Sync option in the game use RTSS to lock your fps.
Thats like asking me to install Geforce Experience, plus I dont have it installed with Afterburner. Nope, not for 1 game, I can do without those, and without the hassle.

You have to set the profile for the game in the nvidia control panel to enable the vsync
Tried all the options there. Tanx

Lets drop this since I dont play this game anymore. Thanks

Well, I've had that browser window(s) go black and the only solution is to close it/them and restart Firefox. The issue hasn't removed with different cards/drivers/Firefox versions.

Never had issue with firefox as i love it with the custom extentions. The only issue i had with firefox when i had the gtx 660 in the pcie x4 lane on the asus p5q premium before as it was stuttering when playing the youtube video. The fix was enable the hardware acceleration in the advanced setting in the firefox option as it hidden

Playing Natural Selection 2 for several rounds and all of a sudden everything started stuttering REALLY badly. Like, when you're running a demanding game on a system with weak gfx card and with not enough RAM. I don't get it. Temperatures were 60°C on CPU and 71°C on GPU. Which is not even spring warm... I also doubt something saturated an SSD to such extent or consumed all 32GB of RAM...

Well 71c on the graphic card is abit high to my liking maybe the graphic card was throttling down abit. Maybe the fan curve is on quiet profile and the max performance is enabled in nvidia control panel. Then again it could be some thing related to the window search service which can stutter the ssd hard drive while it searching for index files as it not needed on solid state hard drive most likely a bottlenecking issue

Throttling at 71°C ? During synthetic load testing, clocks don't change even a bit at this or even a bit higher temperature. It's always at 1950 MHz. It's not that for sure.

Here the link may help you with the game your playing https://forums.unknownworlds.com/discussion/131701/microstuttering-input-delay-fixes-to-try

Sounds like the game is not optimized correctly in the physx department

Another site said this
Very Poor FPS
Even on the most powerful laptops and PCs, Natural Selection 2 seems to have very poor framerates as the units and structures on the screen pile up. From community discussions, there seems to be a coding issue with the game in terms of CPU/GPU optimization.

At any rate, here are some known solutions our Crash Wiki team recommends:

  • First of all, make sure your system is up to spec. Check the minimum requirements at the last section of this article.
  • Turn of ambient occlusion within NS2’s video settings. It’s the most taxing among graphics settings.
  • If that alone does not work, you should disable V-sync, turn off shadows and set textures to low. IMPORTANT: Make sure V-sync is also turned off directly in your graphics driver settings (nVidia Control Panel and ATI Catalyst).
  • NS2 is also said to be highly CPU intensive. To diagnose if your CPU isn’t performing up to par, open the console (tilde key) and type in r_stats. The “Waiting for GPU” line will tell you whether the main bottleneck is your CPU or GPU. If it’s between 0 and 1ms your main bottleneck at your graphics settings is your CPU.

Upgraded drivers recently and are getting strange random glitches with my UI. Sometimes the tasbar would half auto-hide itself and the window that was in focus would get loopy looking and flash for a couple secs than return to normal. Also on stuff like the pic viewer the next and fullscreen buttons were white blocks... also the facebook top bar dissapears randomly as well. I have to now run the browser in non-gpu accell mode for now. Amazon's site would go loopy as well and I can't have that since I live off that site since it's too hot to go out.

Since most websites are updating to html5 coding which may explain some issues on screen with nvidia and amd graphic cards. And the taskbar auto hide is related to view options in the browsers is an easy fix to sort out

You might have issues on your computer with the browser you are using try another browser to see if the issue reappear. Then it may related to the addons you are using which may affect the displaying of the site.

Hi everybody i upgraded the graphic card from galaxy gtx 660 2gb to asus gtx 750 ti oc for €73/£65 as i won it on ebay. So far did alot of tweaking on my custom pc got it stable as i had to downclock the mushkin ram to 900mhz to match the fsb on the cpu which is running at 450mhz with the vcore at 1.168v at 3.6ghz temps on the core is hovering around 45c to 50c the cpu package never saw 40c. No more graphic driver crashing on my custom pc as im on the latest 388.00 nvidia driver

Awesome job NVIDIA. Just awesome. Now stupid driver keeps restarting even on desktop while I'm browsing. For no logical reason it just restarts the driver every hour or few hours. Screen blinks and mouse freezes. I'm using the same shit as I have before, same Windows, same drivers, same everything. I'm getting really tired of this bullshit. Now I have to reinstall whole system clean again to see what the hell is doing this for real as event viewer has no usable info other than driver restart entry (Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered.)

I'm seriously starting to regret going with GTX 1080Ti instead of RX Vega 64. This is just total BS.

ive been getting random black screens on older hardware from nvidia when doing simple stuff such as web browsing and even just letting the pc sit idle. im talking older cards like gtx470, gtx560, gtx660, and gtx760. its like they are just trying to get people to trash them. thing is tho much of my old hardware i pass off to friends or family members who dont game or just need something for lite use. its annoying when you try to be nice to someone and then the hardware you give them starts acting up because of drivers.

That has something to do with the version of Windows that's used from what I gathered as this happened to me in the past.
