Check the dell outlet or Walmart's Black Friday sales, both have pretty impressive prices on laptops and two in ones

$450. 17" 7th Gen i3 7100u ,8Gb RAM, 1Tb HDD its on the outlet page, but its not refurb, or Scratch n dent, its BNIB & theresz a couple of choices

then i found a couple ACER units BNIB from acer direct

There's an HP 17.3" i5 for $379 ... display is only 1600 x 900, but it has a DVD drive. I may end up buying one for myself.

Add an SSD to it and you might have a sweet laptop.

I bought a refurb Dell Latitude off of the outlet a long time ago, it ended up looking new. I don't know if that experience is typical. Not sure how scratched and dented scratch and dent is. I'd probably avoid the scratch and dent and get a refurb.

I just tested the INLptDt1511 key and it worked perfectly to give 15% off of these, which brings them into a decent price range.

I think I'd get the i7 over an i5 unless you put the cost savings into an SSD.

I don't even know what to get lol. I preordered that 8k vr headset from pimax on kick starter so that's kinda my black Friday purchase I guess. A new monitor would be nice if anyone's got some suggestions. I have 3 asus pb278q monitors (only use two at once because 3 is just too much screen spaxe) and I love the resolution and wondering if making the jump to something with a higher refresh rate would be with it? I mostly play rts games and watch Netflix and fps games. Not a hardcore gamer but I so enjoy the sport every now and again. The acer xb271hu makes me drool but 800 for a monitor seems like a stretch especially since an untrawide seems like a better product...

If you only use two anyway just sell two and buy a higher refresh rate unit, keeping a single PB278Q as the secondary. PB278Q should be worth around $200-250 each used if you find a buyer, reducing the total cost of the upgrade by $400-500.

The XB271HU is actually $650 right now on Amazon. So you might only be out of pocket $150-250.

Yeah, I have a 55" now, and a 65" would be a good sweet spot to be in terms of size for my basement.

At $350 I'd say the Rift is a no-brainer if you have the cash to spend. I still enjoy mine quite a bit.
