Power Bright 1500 Watt inverter.

I hooked up my converter and I have 0 voltage coming out. The lights are lit up but no output. When I turn it on, the led is green. After it beeps, the lights turn red (may be normal, can’t remember).

I can only assume there is a switch or breaker that is flipped, or some other fusable link that is burned or broken.

Mine did that once when the two 12v leads had frayed wires that shorted. I cleaned it up and it still did it but only for a few minutes then worked fine. I assume it was a thermal overload protection thing.

Do you mean for the OP's? Or yours? Overload protection might cause wires to burn "open" to break the circuit, but not become frayed.

No, the *symptom* in my case (caused by a short) was the same as the OP is seeing, the green then red light and a non-functioning inverter. Though for me, it corrected itself within 5-10 minutes after I fixed the short, so presume it was thermal overload protection kicking in. Thinking the OP might have a short.

So were the stray wires from poor quality control at the factory? Or some other abuse after the sell?

I've had that inverter for 10-15 years (and have used often). 400W... the 12v wires connect via screw terminals, and have frayed over the years. one post came loose and frayed wires turned so they were touching eachother. I thought it was kaput when it started doing that.
