ASUS today introduced the ProArt PA27AC monitor that meets displayHDR 400 standards. This 27-inch monitor features an IPS display panel with WQHD (2560 x 1440 pixels) native resolution, and covers 100% of the sRGB color-space with its 8bpc color depth. The monitor meets VESA's displayHDR 400 standard, with a peak luminescence of 400 nits, 8bpc image quality, and standard dynamic mega contrast dimming. The PA27AC also offers support for AMD FreeSync technology. Other vital specs include 60 Hz refresh-rate, and 5 ms (GTG) response time. The monitor takes input from DisplayPort 1.2a (needed for FreeSync), HDMI 2.0, and HDMI 1.4. The DisplayPort interface is USB type-C, and supports Thunderbolt 3 daisy-chaining (one port in, one out). The company didn't reveal pricing.

The DisplayPort interface is not exclusively via USB-C/Thunderbolt 3.
Surprisingly Asus even provides a Thunderbolt 3 cable with the display.

"Signal Input : Thunderbolt™ 3 USB-C™ x2 (In x1, Out x1), HDMI(v2.0a), DisplayPort 1.2, HDMI(v1.4) x2"

Uh-huh, sure. With a back luminance ~0.1cd/sqm and a max brightness of 400, that totally doesn't look suspicious at all.

Edit: The sad part is, we barely got a certification for these displays and already it seems even crappier ones apply :(

I wish more monitors had a very subdued logo branding like this one. The front bezel is quite nice without it. Most monitors have giant silver logos plastered on it.

I was recently at a computer store and I was amazed at how great Samsung's QLED TVs looked. Expensive PC monitors in comparison had washed out colors and grey/ish blacks.

I have an LG OLED and yup, those blacks are pretty damn well.... black. I'm sure the LG's had an input lag issue though but I dont know if that was LG specific or an OLED issue. For gaming, you obviously want a low latency screen.

LG started OLED printing production last year. More size and cheaper price is imminent.
