Varmilo, a renowned Chinese keyboard manufacturer, is adding a PUBG-inspired keyboard to their already exotic lineup. The new Chicken Dinner mechanical keyboard certainly upholds the company's reputation for uniqueness. It features a distinctive multi-colored theme and high-quality dye-sublimated PBT keycaps. And just to put the icing on the cake, Varmilo replaced the number keys and some of the function keys with the corresponding PUBG in-game key bindings. The spacebar even carries the iconic "WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER!" phrase. It's safe to say that the Chicken Dinner mechanical keyboard is fit for all tastes. Consumers who prefer compactness can opt for the tenkeyless model (VA87M) and those who need the number pad can grab the full-size model (VA108M). The wide selection of switches includes the Cherry MX Red, Blue, Brown, and Silver.

Pricing
  • Varmilo VA87M Chicken Dinner Mechanical Keyboard (Silent Red Cherry MX) - $147
  • Varmilo VA87M Chicken Dinner Mechanical Keyboard (Silver Cherry MX) - $140
  • Varmilo VA87M Chicken Dinner Mechanical Keyboard (Brown Cherry MX) - $131
  • Varmilo VA87M Chicken Dinner Mechanical Keyboard (Blue Cherry MX) - $131
  • Varmilo VA108M Chicken Dinner Mechanical Keyboard (Brown Cherry MX) - $149
  • Varmilo VA108M Chicken Dinner Mechanical Keyboard (Blue Cherry MX) - $149

Put a few simple letters on a keyboard that from some game and charge $140-167 for it, wow, does it have RGB lights.

If you're actually ever tried a Varmilo keyboard then you will understand why their price is on the high side. Their build quality is probably one of the best in the OEM keyboard market, equal to Leopold build quality and a notch higher than Ducky, Cooler Master, Corsair, etc.

And knowing Varmilo, this is not some cheap thin ABS keycaps like the one you can find on the Cooler Master or Corsair keyboard, those are a thick PBT (1.5 mm thick) with dye sublimated legends.

Oh, and no, Varmilo doesn't do those lame RGB backlight, they usually only have single color LED backlight.

I would take ducky any day over varmilo, but would not argue honestly rating both as more of a preference. wonderful KBs though.

i didnt know cherry mechanical keyboards could be cheap, let me know where i can upgrade from my $10 membrane

cheapest noncherry mechanical i've ever heard of was like $50+ without a numpad, i'm not going to spend that much on either a kb or mouse
