Boy has it been a long time not only since I built my last system (2004) but since I've been on TPU!
So I bought a Semi-New AMD system first time in years! been on a Q9650 From Intel and an ASUS P5Q-Pro MB. MY GOD THAT IS OLD.
GA-AB350M-Gaming 3 Mobo.
Choose the AMD Rysen3 1300X out of the BOX it is running at 3.71GHz with no voltage bump at all and stock cooler (No my cooler is not the "COOL" one with the LEDS)
Got one 8GB stick of Patriot Viper DDR4 Ram! PC4-21300 2666MHz.
Added windows 10 64 bit on a new WD 3TB HDD.
Still using the old video card HD5800 and same PSU TX850.
Used to go by the name trickson here Good to be back.
OH and all that cost me $545 dollars! OMG prices are up BIG TIME!
