I confirm.
Did several clean installs on laptops at work not too long ago. All had a regular consumer win7 Pro key (non-CSM). Never-ever used for upgrading or previous clean installations of Windows 10.
Installed W10 Pro 1709. Every single key was accepted activated right away.

I think the only thing that's not available now is a Windows 10 Upgrade assistant (or whatever it's called).

Can also confirm the free upgrade is still working. I wonder what's going on with Microsoft..

Yea, the last news I heard was Jan 16th was the cutoff. But then it was before that, and before that, they tried to make you upgrade it via Malware... and before that, there was Windows 7 lol

December 31st and January 16th were both "not to long ago". Based upon published but conflicting sources, that expired 1week or just over 3 weeks ago. Were any of those not too long ago's after those dates ?

Malware? I sense a joke, but not quite sure what it is?

Yea, joke, sort of... referring to the dialogs that popped up in the middle of using Windows 7 to upgrade to Windows 10, with no apparent option to say f*ck off and leave me alone. I know two people who had their system update to Windows 10, and they never agreed to it.

Ah ok. Agreed. Thought for a sec you were talking about Windows 8/8.1.

I guess the idea is to have everybody using Windows 10 in any possible way. I wonder when it will be free to use with advertising pop-ups, like a free android app

Look at the notice on Microsoft's Windows 10 free upgrade website: "3GB+ download required; internet access fees may apply. Windows 10 Upgrade Offer is valid for qualified Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 devices, including devices you already own. Some hardware/software requirements apply and feature availability may vary by region and device. Windows 7 SP1 and Windows 8.1 Update required. Some editions are excluded: Windows 7 Enterprise, Windows 8/8.1 Enterprise, and Windows RT/RT 8.1. To check for compatibility and other important installation information, visit your device manufacturer’s website and the Windows 10 Specifications page. Windows 10 is automatically updated. Additional requirements may apply over time for updates."

So nothing says it's been extended but it's still working ... I guess Windows Update didn't update the servers in line with published policy :)

This is typical Microsoft. The right-hand doesn't know what the left-foot is missing. Or they might be doing it deliberately for conversion numbers with a nod and a wink.
