Steam Releases 'External Funds Used' Tool

Have you ever wondered how much money you've invested into your entire Steam collection? Well, now you can! Valve has recently added a nifty feature called 'External Funds Used' that allows Steam users to see the total amount of money spent at the Steam store. All users have to do is sign into their Steam account at this link. Do note that the tool doesn't take into account key activations. So, games that have been purchased through third-party stores like GOG, Green Man Gaming, Humble Bundle, G2A, and etc. will not contribute to the grand total. The "OldSpend" field equals to the amount of money that was spent before the Limited User Account policy was implemented in 2015. The "PWSpend" is related to purchases made on games operated by Perfect World Entertainment. a Chinese company that runs CS:GO and DOTA 2 in China. So, how much have you spent? ive been on 6 years and only spent $81 dollars. man i already thought games take up to much time as is. i wonder what kind of life people have who spends thousand on this stuff.

Look around. I look at how others live there life, and then realize even though I game a lot at least I am getting unique and atmospheric expediences that make me think. Better than my Dad who watches Court TV and Price is Right every day. That stuff is mind numbing. Better than 50% of America, who seem to watch reality tv, which is also mind numbing imo. At least gaming engages me.

yeah if you think about it... i definitely saved money on videogames... vs any other the other forms of entertainment available.

Just 285 dollars... then again, I kinda hold myself back most of the time and wait until special offers and discounts are available. And looking at my game library most of it are old titles (or remakes), such as Half-Life, Left 4 Dead, Serious Sam and Star Wars X-Wing... the only relatively new things are Metro 2033/Last Light, Assassin's Creed Origins, Hyper Light Drifter and Tomb Raider...
