Via its support pages, AsRock has spilled the beans on at least five of their upcoming motherboards based on Intel's upcoming Z390 chipset in their Live Update & App services. The naming scheme of these motherboards is in-line with previous ASRock lineups, and there shouldn't be any confusion as to their tiering. The motherboards hence confirmed are the Z390 Extreme4, Z390 Pro4, Z390 Taichi, Z390 Taichi Ultimate, and the Z390M Pro4.

Z390 is possibly one of the most badly kept secrets of the hardware industry in years...

Most likely better VRM and power delivery, specially taking into account the i9 9900k. Feeding those 8 cores and 16 threads at 5ghz or more (because it will for sure overclock to 5,3ghz at least) can´t be done by every motherboard. I bet even some Z370 motherboards will struggle.

Built in Wifi and USB3.1 seems to be the only advantage over Z370. Board partners will have to beef up components to deal with 8 cores. This is their chance to offer something special for the new top CPUs, and make the i9-9900K really shine.

There will be no native WiFi or USB3.1 on this Z390.
It was supposed to have CNVi interface for wifi if it were produced using same process as H370, H310. But its only a z370 rebrand with no additional features.

This is definitely a good change to buff boards up and prepare them for 8-core CPU overclocking.

Commence 6+2\8+2 power designs with proper cooling. Pretty please!

It's funny how many leaks we had over the years because of Asrock :D
Also remember when they open overclocking to H chipset motherboards against intel rules... Got to love that
