I bought my pny 1060 6gb that i used in my current rig for $269 out the door at the local best buy on launch. Sold it 8 months ago for $420. slapped an rx560 4gb in it because i had one laying around and i dont need the extra gpu power sense i only play at 1080p med-low settings. i remember one of my brothers bought his sapphire rx470 off newegg for $159. it was the blower style with the silver shroud that everybody said was crap but after the mining craze they were hot demand. his worked well with an overclock on both the core and memory. i honestly dont know why the review sites came down so hard on it.

anyway, the current prices still need to come down quit a ways. but its nice to see them dropping. maybe ill skip the next gen of cards and get a gtx1080 second hand locally.
