The upgraded P32A80 and P32M85/PCle Gen3x2 & NVMe 1.2 are the ideal SSDs for ultrabooks and laptops that need a stylish boost in speed, functionality, and responsiveness. Designed with PCIe Gen 3x2 Interface, the P32A80 and P32M85 boast read and write speeds of up to 1,600MB/s and 1,000MB/s. 2700/1400MB/S.....is this REALLY a "new""drive ??/

seriously though, my old 950pro routinely hits 3000/1700 nottaproblemo...and it is almost 3 years old with lots of wear & tear on it via massive # of boots/reboots/shutdowns/sw installs/removals/huge file transfers etc etc etc.......

Did you not notice the x2? Most NVMe M.2 SSDs are x4. There's the main difference in throughput potential. x2 is cheaper. For some people that's enough or a good compromise.
