Upgrading RAM to 24 GB is a stupid idea , but ( upgrading RAM ) isn't a bad idea , i mean just upgrade to 16 GB .

I forgot to post here but in the end I went for a ryzen 2700x + MSI Carbon AC PRO board + 16 gb 3000 mhz corsair vengeance ram. (I was set on buying a 2600x but I figured that 2700x will be more future proof)

I have been using the system more than 2 weeks now and I am very happy with what I got.

Next upgrade: a 1080 mini or amp edition from zotac in the next month or so....
