Coinciding with the release of 2nd Gen AMD Ryzen Threadripper CPUs, CRYORIG is releasing its sTR4 Upgrade Kit for its high-end air coolers. The sTR4 Upgrade Kit is compatible with the CRYORIG R1 series, C1 series, H5 series and H7 Quad Lumi. With the new sTR4 Upgrade Kit users are able to use their favorite CRYORIG air cooling solutions with both 1st Gen and 2nd Gen AMD Ryzen Threadripper CPUs. *Coolers with less than 4 heatpipes are not suggested, as well as the ultra-compact C7 series coolers.



The sTR4 Upgrade Kit is available now with an MSRP of 6 USD (excl. TAX) in North America and Asia, and 6 EUR (incl. VAT) in Europe.

AMD provides very conservative TDP figures for TR4 CPUs (hard to say why).
All models with 4 CCX are 180W. All 8 CCX are 250W.

1900X is basically a 1800X with 200MHz more. TDP: 180W vs 95W.
It's not like I believe a 1800X pulls just 95W, but there's a long way to 180W. :)

So yes: if your 1900X miraculously bursts under a 160W cooler, AMD might not accept the warranty. But they also may not if do any kind of OC - and that hasn't stopped anyone.
