GIGABYTE TECHNOLOGY Co. Ltd, a leading manufacturer of motherboards and graphics cards, announced the release of the Z390 DESIGNARE motherboard with full support for the newest 8-core Intel Core i9-9900K processors. The newest addition to the GIGABYTE DESIGNARE series is a feature-packed motherboard that provides content creators the fastest and most efficient tools to showcase their creativity and craftsmanship. GIGABYTE DESIGNARE Series motherboards bring out the best in workstation graphics cards, maximize M.2 SSD and DDR4 RAM performance, and fully support powerful CPUs such as the newest 8-core Intel Core i9-9900K CPU. With built in USB Type-C Thunderbolt , and native USB 3.1 Gen 2 to provide 40Gb/s transmission speed, the board is designed with effective storage performance as a key feature. GIGABYTE Ultra-Durable Technology and exclusive software also bring additional value for digital content creators and design professionals.

"Today's content creators are seeking faster and more efficient performance from their PCs. GIGABYTE created the DESIGNARE series a few years back to fulfill these user demands," stated Jackson Hsu, Deputy Director of the GIGABYTE Channel Solutions Product Development Division. "Z390 DESIGNARE is the newest addition to this constantly evolving content creation focused series and is loaded with features that enable content creators to express their artistic creativity through their PCs with excellent performance and efficiency."

Fully supporting Intel's newest consumer grade 8-core processors, the GIGABYTE Z390 DESIGNARE motherboard is well-suited for design professionals. To unleash the potent performance of Intel Core i9-9900K processors, Z390 DESIGNARE uses an 12+1 phases digital CPU power design which includes both digital PWM Controller and DrMOS. These 100% digital controller and additional 8+4 Solid-pin CPU Power Connectors offer incredible precision in delivering power to the motherboard's most power-hungry and energy-sensitive components, allowing enthusiasts to get the absolute maximum performance from the new 9th Generation Intel Core processors.

Content creators and design professionals can focus on their work without any power supply concerns. The larger power supply area with 2x Copper PCB design takes it a step further in enhancing power supply stability. Z390 DESIGNARE motherboard utilize a high-efficacy VRM heatsink for heat dissipation. The elegantly designed, screw-mounted heatsink gets the job done when it comes to heat dissipation by pairing its multiple heat dissipation fins for increased surface area with a Direct-Touch Heatpipe. The thicker thermal pad also helps reduce the heat generated by the DrMOS module, keeping PC systems at cooler temperatures for increased efficiency and ensuring that system performance is not affected when design professionals are trying to catch up on heavier workloads.

Z390 DESIGNARE is the best in the business when it comes to NVMe storage performance, compatibility, and configuration flexibility which makes it perfect for content creators seeking a high-capacity storage solution with excellent performance. Through the unique CPU PCIe lane configuration, professional designers can build a RAID 0/1 array by installing a graphics card on the PCIe slots and two Intel PCIe NVM SSDs using the direct PCIe lanes from the CPU to remove the bottleneck between CPU and PCH. This setup provides exceptional storage performance and data integrity. Professional designers can also use two graphics cards to setup a SLI build for improved graphics performance while switching the other set of PCIe slots to the built-in M.2 slots to build a RAID 5 array for high-speed data transfer and solid data integrity. The versatility of this motherboard allows for design professionals to customize their configurations based on their needs and demands.

Z390 DESIGNARE comes with Dual Intel Gigabit Ethernet with cFosSpeed accelerator so design professionals can take advantage of better bandwidth prioritization and optimized network performance. Dual LAN design offers added flexibility for network configurations and improves overall bandwidth. For SOHO networks, one network route can support external work while another network route can be utilized for intranet data synchronization as well as data backup. Dual LAN design also allows design professionals to share data on the same cloud storage devices while enabling them to simultaneously access the cloud servers to upload and store project data. Z390 DESIGNARE also features built-in Intel CNVi 802.11ac 160MHz 2x2 WIFI so design professionals can also utilize blazing fast WIFI for faster working efficiency. With both the benefits of Dual Intel Gigabit Ethernet and Intel CNVi 2x2 WIFI, design professionals can make full use of robust network connectivity and stability.

Aside from excellent performance and high speed connectivity, lightning-quick transmission speed from external storage devices is also something design professionals value greatly. Z390 DESIGNARE has two sets of built-in USB Type-C Thunderbolt and native USB 3.1 Gen 2, to provide 40 Gbps transmission speed. Users can daisy chain 6 devices + 1 display on a single connection, or connect a digital graphics tablet for 4K resolution. Through the motherboard's built DP-In design professionals can transfer image and audio signals from a high end graphics card and use the Thunderbolt interface to attain DP 1.4 8K resolution for more precise and detailed graphics on their artwork.

From the jet black PCB with blackplate armor design to the metallic silver heatsinks, the Z390 DESIGNARE's ultra cool aesthetics are befitting of a motherboard for design professionals. The subtle, understated LED lighting on the board also gives off more relaxed vibes so design professionals can focus on their artwork. For added flair, design professionals can use the RGB headers to install RGB lighting strips and play with the GIGABYTE exclusive Ambient LED application to synchronize LED lighting strips with the board's built in LED lighting configuration. With the customizability of lighting patterns and designs from the board's RGB configuration, design professionals can truly show off their own style.

I wish that "Consumer" (if you could call Z390 that) would get more PCIE lanes. Honestly, a simple way for this would be just dropping 3 way/4 way CFX/SLI support, no one is going to use it on a board like this

Nvidia already dropped official support for 3/4way SLi so no point anymore even normal 2way SLi can be a challenge sometimes in games because the real performance shows better in benchmarks then games when running more then one graphic card most of the times.

Like that you have to play CSI with ASUS too since this is the only place you will find the true VRM phase count.
