A Walk Through Corsair Peripherals at CES 2019

Corsair at CES 2019 unveiled two new innovations, the Slipstream wireless interface, and Capellix high-density aRGB LEDs. The company implemented the two across its upcoming gaming peripherals. These include three new mice, and a new keyboard. Among the mice is the new 2019 Harpoon Wireless RGB, detailed in our older article, M65 RGB Elite mouse, Ironclaw RGB, and a new variant of its K68 keyboard that implements both Slipstream and Capellix.

The M65 RGB Elite is a claw-friendly packs a PMW-3391 sensor with 18,000 dpi resolution, 97-115 dpi adjustable weights, and an improved side button cluster. This mouse is expected to be priced at $59.99. The Ironclaw, despite its name, is optimized for palm grips, with the same PMW-3391 sensor as the M65 RGB Elite, 105 g fixed weight, and the same $59.99 price-tag. The K68 RGB Elite Slipstream is a variant of the K68 that's been refined with two of Corsair's latest innovations, although Corsair didn't mention price.

I disagree. I quite like my Rapidfire keyboard. It was tough to get used to at first but once I got used to it, I wouldnt take any other keyboard.

Their wireless mouse is still far beyond Logitechs G602. Nothing can compare.

Their wireless mouse is still far beyond Logitechs G602. Nothing can compare.

Build quality is pretty bad, even on metal chassis ones, design choice make often little sense, and honestly the font they use on keycaps is absolute trash, freaking stretched squared style characters, i honestly don't think i've ever seen a uglier thing on a keyboard.

How is their wireless mouse "far beyond" G602?

I have to disagree in every way.

Its far beyond because my G602 lasts for at least 2 months if not longer. And that is without me shutting it off every session. So it runs on battery 24/7. And it typically lasts for about 2-3 weeks after I recieve the "your battery is at less than 5%" message.

Corsair seems to have cut a few corners to reach that impressive $50 price. It lacks the 18,000DPI sensor that the wired mice have, instead opting for 10,000 DPI. Aesthetically, it appears to be made from a comparatively chintzy, all-plastic shell. But the wireless competition is expensive enough that it might be a worthwhile tradeoff.

I can see you disagreeing, i can understand different tastes too, but the poor build quality and poor design choices are just there.

I don't follow, you're not very clear.

Far beyond means it's better, so you either miss-typed something or you're contradicting yourself. Because then you say

So yeah i don't understand if you're talking about G602 or you're comparing it to corsair's mice.

Cant say i want THAT keyboard, but i sure am interested in a wireless version of my K65 rapidfire - if the RGB lights turn off after X minutes of idle, the battery life wont be a massive issue


Why do i want wireless? because i got a multi monitor setup, and i can just walk over with mouse and keyboard to the 55" TV across the room and game on that instantly

No mention of one of their best products in a long time (see video for the reason why). maybe not price wise. I'll still buy one though.
