Digital Storm is one of North America's most respected pre-built gaming desktop brands. They've partnered with TechPowerUp to bring residents of the US and Canada a unique chance to bring home a fully-loaded, 4K-capable gaming desktop, the Digital Storm Lynx. The machine up for grabs is powered by an Intel Core i7-9700K 8-core processor, 16 GB of DDR4-3200 dual-channel memory, and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 graphics. Other key pieces of hardware include Samsung 970 EVO 500 GB NVMe SSD, and a 750-Watt PSU by Corsair, all packed into a custom case by Digital Storm with RGB LED embellishments. How fast is it? We just reviewed a Digital Storm Lynx with this exact configuration for you. Its brand-new twin could be yours. Sounds good? All you have to do is fill up a short form to help us contact you if you've won. Digital Storm pays for shipping and customs. Open from today (19th April), the Giveaway ends on the 29th of April, 2019.

If I win I am going to sell the 2070 on here, and upgrade to a 2080, and just use Intel HD graphics until I get the money saved up ^^

Yeah this is up to the company giving away the prizes, shipping a whole system across half the globe can be troublesome so I understand why they wanted to avoid it

Well, not that I'll ever win anything, such is my luck... However, the time to change my 2600k+HD7950 setup comes closer every day. :)

For me to do a similar build that I feel matches the aesthetics of that build I'd be spending

I didn't see a copy of Windows 10 in that build so that's another $140. I've checked in the past what boutique builders like Digital Storm offer and they have usually been priced a couple hundred dollars over what I could build for myself but for people that don't want to build themselves it's probably an ok deal. They assemble the parts and do the cable management and do any troubleshooting that's necessary and offer a 3 year warranty on labor along with 1 year on parts. I would rather save the couple hundred dollars and build it myself or use that money to upgrade to a better GPU.

Less than $30 for a windows 10 pro key now, no where near $140

Well, some just don't want these "gray area" keys.

Though I've never paid over 10eur for a W10 Pro key.

I've used two of the grey keys now with absolutely no problem. If Microshaft lowered the price to say £50, no one would even pirate windows, and even at the lower price, the profit from it would go up.

So is this merely a matter of shipping or does the participant HAVE to be, officially, a US/CA citizen?
I mean, is it possible for a non US/CA resident to participate and have it shipped to a north American address (e.g. a relative's)?

Good luck to the limited target audience for this, pity the company is too cheap to spend on global shipping and only opted for a quick and easy local promo which equates to less than advertising costs.
