Is that "M2 SSD" an SATA or nvme based drive ?

At the higher price points, I would have expected nvme, as well as 10GB ethernet and AX wireless....

NEVER BUY FROM CYBERPOWER PC never ever never ever... I opened a case with them through Better Business Bureau. They are one of the worst companies around and quite frankly I am ashamed at Techpowerup giving them news space. I bought a $1400 GTX 1070 laptop from them when the i7-7820HK launched, literally bought it same day the cpu launched. It was overheating from day 1, 99 celsius and shut downs, and they refused to honor the 30 day return period, they gave me run around week after week and then said sorry 30 days is up. Very shady company. Never again. Shame on TPU for giving them time of day.

NVME. And would you like some cheese?

ummm.... cheese..... #4 on my top 5 favorite foods list :D

But no, I wasn't whining... just stating my expectations that's all

Is there something wrong with doing that, is it against forum rules or something ?

What'd you expect honestly

people on forumnotebook review website were showing 80-83 celsius for that 7820HK CPU at stock settings. not even undervolted yet. so that is what I was expecting. :/ i just was new to laptop world at the time, so i didn't know who to buy from. shame TPU doesn't know who to buy from either. makes me sad to this corrupt CyberPower company getting free advert on this site we both love.

It's not really corrupt so much as Clevo making shitty awfully designed laptop coolers and laptops in general and aftermarket vendors not repasting them.
However, its unfortunate that you had to deal with that, I understand what its like to deal with a product thats not as advertised and not being able to return it
