NVIDIA today introduced their latest hotfix driver. Driver number 430.53 addresses reported issues of high CPU utilization (due to NVDisplay.Container.exe) on NVIDIA's previous 430.39 WHQL driver, which added support for their latest GTX 1650 graphics card as well as Windows' 1903 release.

A number of fixes have also been introduced by this driver version. Namely, flickering observed when 3DMark Time Spy is launched; BeamNG application crash on games launch; SLI freezes in Shadow of the Tomb Raider; and monitor flickering on the desktop when videos are being played on a secondary monitor. You can grab this latest hotfix driver release on the link below.

I was looking at Process Lasso last night to see if I saw this behavior (on 430.39) with the high processor usage. The offending NVIDIA service never used enough processor to show up on my list at all (when sorted by CPU usage).

Not sure why I don't seem to be effected.

I didn't notice CPU usage out of the ordinary either but it may be because we both have 8 cores.

This may have been more of an issue on 2-4 core processors that a lot of people still seem to have.

So I just installed 430 last Saturday and the first thing I notice is screen flickering on CoD WWII so I try to disable G-SYNC/Adaptive sync and that helped.
I'm hoping this fixes that or I'll just roll back.

how about no telemetry in any Driver. Windows 10 already does too much of that crap, that's a reason why the OS is so heavy

Just FYI,
I have an MSI 1660 Ti Armor and the 425.31 Driver was terrible for me, screen flickering, much lowers fps, massively unstable.
I just tried 430.39 and while more stable than 425.31 my fps was still much lower when I ran FF XV benchmark, far cry benchmark and AC Odyssey benchmarks.
I'm back on 419.67 and everything is stable and fps is back up where it should be.

Grab the pitchforks, I'll get the torches!!! NV is spying on us for their gain, we better yell across the valley to let them know we won't stand for this. Better boycott them too for safe measure.

The Antialiasing is broken on my PC, CPU usage is like 1-2 full speed cores just for that, havent checked therally, but i dont need more proof, it is software base emulation at best, had to force it OFF in control pannel.

It's optional to install and you can turn it off anytime from the AMD control panel.
Although you are technically correct, everyine in their right mind won't opt-in voluntarily, hence my statement.

EDIT: isn't this mandatory spyware in violation of GDPR, at least in the EU? If so, I wonder how long before nvidia get slapped a juicy fine by the EU commision.

While I agree with "no telemetry," the cause of Windows 10 disk bloat is not telemetry but included "partner apps."

and other than disk space it really is not heavy at all...

Depends. You do agree to a EULA and privacy policy on install. No names are collected either, so it is probably legal.

Grab the pitchforks, I'll get the torches!!! NV is spying on us for their gain, we better yell across the valley to let them know we won't stand for this. Better boycott them too for safe measure.

I mean, it's not right. It's also easy to "protest" by turning off. ;)

No, I run on a clean install post DDU, and it works fine for me without issue.

1. "GeForce Experience collects data to improve the application experience; this includes crash and bug reports as well as system information needed to deliver the correct drivers and optimal settings. " I don't mind this at all, I would just appreciate it being done the "Autodesk way" where i get to say yes or no 1st .... and see / keep a copy what is being sent.

2. I thought that the telemetry was removed ... I thought the problem was the change to real time. I remember that had saved these instructions while I pondered removing it ... then i kinda forgot about it :)
  • Download and run Microsoft Autoruns.
  • Type nvidia in the filter box.
  • You will find Telemetry in the Task Scheduler section and the nVIDIA Wireless Controller, and ShadowPlay services further down under the registry entries.
  • Uncheck NvTmMon, NvTmRep and NvTmRepOnLogon to disable telemetry.
  • Uncheck Nvidia Wireless Controller Service and NvStreamKms if you don’t use Shadow Play and nVIDIA wireless controller.
  • If you get an error, close the program and right click on Autoruns.exe or Autoruns64.exe and “Run as Administrator.”
This is not exactly a new subject ... i think the stall CPU utilization was caused by sending the bug reports in real time.

Some options are disabled from being unchecked, this installer forces you to install GeForce Experience program, which can be uninstalled manually.

if you uninstall Geforce Experience only NvTmMon and NvTmRep are still in the task list. Alternatively, you can block telemetry with a firewall.

It only happens if put pc to sleep then resume and check, nvcontainer also calls @ to gf expereince for some reason, never seen that before either, and I dont have gf expereince or telemetry,.

Im fine at 425.42 vulkan driver atm, also at win10 1809 so no rush for wddm 2.6.
