Logitech G, a brand of Logitech and leading innovator of gaming technologies and gear, today introduced two new high-performance gaming keyboards - the LogitechⓇ G915 LIGHTSPEED Wireless Mechanical Gaming Keyboard and the LogitechⓇ G815 LIGHTSYNC RGB Mechanical Gaming Keyboard. By combining Logitech G's advanced LIGHTSPEED wireless technology, with its new high-performance, low-profile GL Switches, these new keyboards were designed and built to be the most advanced and innovative keyboards imaginable.

"These new keyboards are perfect examples of what's possible when our award-winning designers and engineers at Logitech G push the envelope of advanced gaming technology and design," said Ujesh Desai, vice president and general manager of Logitech Gaming. "The G915 combines LIGHTSPEED Wireless, RGB lighting and amazing battery life in a sleek, ultra-thin, aluminium case that creates a new standard for gaming keyboards."

Logitech G915 LIGHTSPEED Wireless Mechanical Gaming Keyboard
This premium keyboard features Logitech G's award-winning LIGHTSPEED Wireless technology for a lightning fast, pro-grade 1ms report rate and up to 135 days of non-stop wireless gaming, with lighting turned off (assuming eight hours of play per day). The G915 LIGHTSPEED also includes five on-board programmable G-keys, putting custom macro sequences and in-app commands at your fingertips.

For the first time in the gaming industry, Logitech G is offering its next-generation LIGHTSYNC RGB lighting on a LIGHTSPEED Wireless keyboard. With LIGHTSYNC, this keyboard can be personalized across approximately 16.8 million colors through Logitech G HUB Advanced Gaming Software for the most immersive RGB gaming experience. With RGB colorwave enabled, gamers can play for over 12 days on a single charge (assuming eight hours of play per day).

Logitech G815 LIGHTSYNC RGB Mechanical Gaming Keyboard
The ultra-thin, wired G815 LIGHTSYNC offers the same great style and finish of the G915 LIGHTSPEED, with five dedicated, programmable G-keys, up to three on-board profiles and Logitech G's LIGHTSYNC RGB technology, customizable through Logitech G HUB. Additionally included is a USB cable that connects the USB 2.0 passthrough port to its own input for 100 percent power throughout.

Both the G915 LIGHTSPEED and G815 LIGHTSYNC mechanical gaming keyboards feature Logitech G's high-performance, low-profile GL mechanical key switches that are half the height of standard mechanical key switches for 25 percent faster actuation (versus 2.0 mm actuation in standard switches) and a more comfortable typing experience. Available in choice of GL Linear, GL Tactile or GL Clicky switches to match play preferences, the tactile version gives discernible actuation for gamers who prefer direct feedback, while the linear version provides a smooth keystroke. The clicky version offers a much-requested audible typing experience with tactile feedback.

All of these technologies and innovations have been carefully engineered into two of the industry's thinnest mechanical keyboards and Logitech G's most advanced mechanical gaming keyboards to date.

Pricing and Availability
The Logitech G915 LIGHTSPEED Wireless Mechanical Gaming Keyboard and the Logitech G815 LIGHTSYNC RGB Mechanical Gaming Keyboard are expected to be available on LogitechG.com and at global retailers in August 2019 for suggested retail prices of $249.99 and $199.99, respectively.

For more information, visit the product page of the G915 Lightspeed.

What a bargain, only $250 for a keyboard. /s

Seriously though, what makes it worth $250?

129337

30h battery life? That has to be a new remarkably low record for a keyboard. Why does a keyboard need to have a light weight battery pack? Or the extra $2 for a larger battery pack was too much of a BOM increase for a $250 keyboard?

Sames goes for the use of micro USB, why isn't this USB-C? It's 2019, not 2009...

Also, why do all the keyboards with a volume roller have it on the right hand side instead of the left? I think the majority of people have the mouse in their right hand, which makes it hard to easily adjust the volume...

USB-C is a very sturdy connector, but it would seem you haven't used it.
There aren't any other connectors used on keyboards afaik, but maybe you prefer a captive cable that can't be replaced?

Seriously though, what makes it worth $250?

Its close but no cigar.

The Hexgears X1 does most of what this does but cheaper, and has a USB-C connector to boot!

I'm not going to argue against the cost, but I'd definitely expect a bigger battery and USB-C at this price. (not that I'd buy this though, the less shoulder strain of smaller keyboards like the Hexgears has converted me from full size).

I was looking for a mechanical wireless keyboard (lightspeed/wi-fi not bluetooth) with AA batteries (not an internal rechargable one) and no EXTRA keys (such as the G-keys). Is there one? I haven't found anything and I've been looking for weeks :(

I can hardly wait to get my hands on one, just left to decide which of the 3 key types and its gonna be my birthday present
I for one, although I am on an extremely tight budget, don't think 200/250 USD is too much for a Logitech keyboard. I am rocking a K740 ever since 2006 and it's my only daily driver (ever since). Besides the LEDs going darker, this old trusty membrane keyboard still looks and feels almost as new. There's hardly any tear and looks gorgeous and works sturdily.
I was contemplating between various brands, but Logitech is it (especially since I intentionally broke my 12y old MX620 earlier this year and replaced it with a MX Master 2S)

Wireless - check
BT - check
WIFI (I didn't even know there's one) - check
RGB on Wireless - CHECK (one of the very few)
decent battery life with RGB - check (2-3 days is not bad, my S10e charges about that often anyway as well)
Logitech - check :)

btw why no one commented on how slim it is and that it looks about 10 times better than rest of the mechanical RGB gaming crap? I don't want the extra G keys, but I am sure I'll find a use for them in the mpv input.conf :)

I am actually glad they dont use USB-C.
Because with the normal micro usb, i only need one cable if i want to charge my keyboard or mouse. Since the GPW also has micro usb, and there is nothing wrong with it.

Not had a single problem with my Wooting two, but it also have a clip that holds the cable so there's less strain on it.
Even so, I've had a phone with USB-C for about two years now, not a single issue with the cables, unlike micro USB which you tend to have to replace every six months or so.

I have said it before here and I will say it again. Logitech please release updated G510 and G910 LCD boards with mechanical keys. I would buy one even for $300. The G510 is still rocking hard in my system since 2011.

People like to be all "USB-C EVERYTHING! Without thought for cost.

If they had these as USB-C, it's likely the cost on either product would be $50 more. Cable manufacture and connector manufacture are incredibly expensive when compared to prior forms of the USB connector.

My Asus Claymore keyboard with RGB lights can inform me of the Caps Lock and Num Lock with the Caps Lock and NumLock keys illuminated in a different way... No need for "costly" dedicated leds for this information.

The build looks amazing, the dedication and in-sight looks lacking Logitech!

Why does it matter? Why are people so hell bent on USB-C?

Because we are sick of needing multiple cables for everything, and in the case of micro-usb, it being fragile, both the cable and connector.

Yes, I've had issues with some shitty micro USB cables but I have a dozen in use without issues after years. But maybe those that work at shops have a wider insight....

I'm more interested in knowing if the USB port is full USB3 speed, that is really usefull!

It's only fragile if you're not careful I have Micro-USB cables that are 3~4yrs old and as good as new and they're used every day or so for stuff

I guess logitech built in their 50% sales discount into these prices....wow.... Logitech has been going toward hit or miss a lot, these are probably a couple misses.

Although I am currently using the G610 which is quite nice using regular brown switches for work (with O-rings) & play.
