Antec Inc., leading provider of high-performance computer components and accessories for the gaming, PC upgrade and Do-It-Yourself market, broadens their offer of power supplies with the new line NeoEco Gold Zen. The 80 PLUS GOLD rating and the 500 W, 600 W and 700 W models with Continuous Power make this series a great and affordable choice.

The PSU line is now commercially available from US$69.99 for NE500G Zen, US$79.99 for NE600G Zen, and US$89.99 for NE700G Zen. These PSUs achieve up to 92 per cent efficiency, so you can reduce your electricity bill up to 20 per cent. The series features a half-bridge LLC design with a synchronous rectification based on a DC-DC topology. Japanese capacitors ensure the tightest DC stability and regulation, for reliability that you and your system can count on. The NeoEco Zen Gold is engineered according to the newest PSU guideline ATX12V 2.4 and is compatible with the latest generation of CPUs.

A five-year Antec Quality warranty, a whisper-quiet 120 mm fan controlled by Antec's renowned Thermal Manager and CircuitShield Industrial Grade protection make NeoEco Zen Gold one of the best choices available. Engineered with high-quality capacitors and low-noise transformers, the NeoECO Gold ZEN series provide clean, stable power with maximum CPU & GPU support

Are these made by Seasonic like some of the original NeoEco units?

I don't recall any of their PSU being junk. Like earthdog said they were serviceable, if you were trying to run a gaming PC of a 350w Antec Basiq PSU you bought from Staples...that's a you problem.

Are these made by Seasonic like some of the original NeoEco units?

Pretty much everyone has made that series at one time, from Seasonic, to CWT, Delta, Anydyson.

They look really similar to the CWT built Thermaltake Toughpower GX-1 series. Japanese caps, 500w, 600, 700w options, non-modular cables, five year warranty, gold efficiency. The fans are slightly different.

oh.. ok. I just define "junk" as NOT serviceable...like Powmax or Raidmax for example. :)

Diablotek! Buy a Diablotek sticker and get a free power supply!

Microcenter sells this crap and box weighs as much as your typical 3M HDMI cable and probably costs as much to manufacturer. The only shocking thing is their 3 1/2 stars on Amazon. I'm guessing it's just people creating fake reviews so they can screw with people.

Best PSU review ever of a diablotek

When the PS went, it also took most of the Mother Board it was attached to with it. After replacing it with a different PS, the PS2 Keyboard & Mouse controller is fried, as is the Internal Network Card. I'm thankful that it did not take the customers network switches/router too. Did I mention the poor receptionist is going to be sending me her laundry bill? Apparently it was quite loud and 'fireworky' (her word) when it blew.

My last Antec power supply, an HCG (High Current Gamer) 750, was definitely a miss. It literally burst into flames when Windows was idling. The only saving grace was that it didn't take any of my other hardware with it. Today, I wouldn't use an Antec PS if you gave it to me and paid me 50 bucks to install it.

Which one? Delta made the HCG 750w non-modular bronze and Seasonic made the HCG 750w modular bronze and gold units. Both OEMs are considered at the top of their fields for making PSU.

Sorry about that bad luck... That is a quality made unit and really is just that.

Also sorry that one poor experience like this, 1 in god knows how many, sours you on a brand as well. Cut off the nose to spite the face. ;)

The brand psu quality list in my signature has been updated.

the PRO version of that Psu is top quality, your version landed in the NOT Recommended category

@EarthDog your favorite, Diablotek is on the list too.

It was the non-modular Delta unit. That was the first time that I saw a power supply burst into flames, and hopefully it'll be the last.
