CORSAIR, a world leader in high-performance gaming peripherals and enthusiast components, today announced that the extensive RGB lighting customization in CORSAIR iCUE software now extends to ASUS Aura Sync compatible motherboards. With both iCUE and the latest version of ASUS' Aura Sync Utility installed, users can now fully control the RGB lighting on their ASUS motherboard through iCUE, as well as synchronize lighting with every iCUE-compatible CORSAIR device throughout their setup, from high-performance DRAM and CPU coolers to keyboards and mice.

CORSAIR iCUE software already offers the most robust system-wide RGB lighting control available, enabling users to customize all their CORSAIR product lighting in just a few clicks, or create complex multi-layer lighting effects and synchronize them across CORSAIR components and peripherals. With the addition of ASUS Aura Sync motherboard compatibility, iCUE can now control the lighting for nearly every component in a PC, all consolidated into a single interface, for incomparable system-wide light shows.

In addition to RGB lighting control, iCUE offers a host of other features that enable PC enthusiasts and gamers to orchestrate every last detail of their system. Monitor system details such as temperatures, fan speeds, and voltages in real-time. Create automated fan curves that adjust fan speeds based on system thermals. iCUE also expands the capabilities of CORSAIR peripherals with custom macros and button remaps, fine-tuning of mouse sensitivity, in-depth customization of audio settings, and much more.

With the ability to control lighting ASUS Aura Sync motherboards, CORSAIR iCUE software puts your setup at your command, now more than ever before.

iCUE should just be the standard and other motherboard vendors should follow suit with this.

Exactly this. I love Corsair (I used more of their products than I'd like to admit and I'm still a massive fan of their cases/etc) but I'd rather see one unified Standard. The issue with
Corsair is, that they even use specific connectors for example. And to be honest, besides the Corsair SW which I'm still running (for my LL's and my H115i ) the Razor SW is by
far more user-friendly. I'd love if I could just sync all of it instead of every big Player creating his own ecosystem with fixed "Matches" that work together but not with anything else.

Yes, the Corsair commander-pro is really nice (besides the connector part) but I'd love if I could get the Corsair commander but use the Razor Software. Why? Because I bought HW
from both, programmable LED's work in the same way and I should be able to Chose which SW I use and not having to be forced to use 2+ which can't even "talk to each other" (sync
Settings on the fly ---- Razer changes Colors depending on the game for instance, or as example in OW depending on the "hero" you selected which is quite nice and my LianLi Razer-ED
follows Suite --- but not the Corsair LL's or the H115i :/ ).

I'm glad they finally broke their "only Corsair, Nothing else" Approach and especially work with Asus (another one of my 5 fav. Brands) but it's still a "super tight closed ecosystem". It's not
"you can Control Corsair with your asus SW" but "we allow you one more Thing to be connected to OUR Standard" *sigh*

I'm not sure if this is supposed to be new. My MSI b450 gaming pro carbon had a corsair connector to it where you can connect a node to the board directly and control it from there. Cooler master's janky software also allows you to let the motherboard take care of all the effects for anything connected to the rgb hub.

Any mention when this update will be rolled out?
It is already out, but in my case, even with a board on the list it doesn't appear to work. Asus has a shitty reputation when it comes to software and Corsair's iCue isn't much better. They simply do not see each other. Now if I could dump iCue and run everything with Aura that would be okay, TT lets you do it with their sync device.

you need to install the asus aura software too, for it to be recognised. I've been using it for a few months now as part of the beta.

There are other products that are 'more' integrated. For instance the fans from ThermalTake. If you use their sync device (https://www.thermaltake.com/tt-sync-controller-tt-premium-edition.html) will allow your TT Fans to work with Asus Aura, MSI Mystic Light, or Gigabyte RGB Fusion and allow the motherboard software to control the lighting. You don't need any of the TT software nor would you want it if you want the MB to control all your lighting. Other fans have distinct ARGB lighting plugs that will allow you to attach them directly to your MB with the use of spliters. Just so you know all the 5v ARGB regardless of what the plug end looks like use just 3 wires to control the lighting, +5v / GND / Data. If your MB is a generation older it might only have 12v RGB which uses 4 wires or 12v RGBW which uses 5 wires, both of these are non-addressable and the LEDs all light in unison.

I bought corsair mouse/kb/aio specifically because you can run them without any software since they store settings on onboard profiles.

same. ditched the AIO for other reasons, but the node pro being able to save lighting and fan speeds to the devices hardware was a critical reason for purchase - icue has pissed me off at times, so i ran without it starting at boot for months

Installed it and it's...half baked. All it sees it the lighting on the motherboard lighting itself and +12v RGB headers. "+5v RGB headers? Non-corsair RGB ram? What are those?" -- iCue Software.

In my case, i have to give up all my lighting control since they come off the ARGB, headers that iCue currently don't recognize. I regret updating, this broke my lighting Feng Shui.

By any chance you know of a fix for my problem or know how to make iCue and Aura play nice again? Nothing useful on the Corsair forums, couple others are having the same issue.

export your profile if you care about settings, uninstall icue and the aura software, reboot, reinstall icue and aura software, reboot.

oh and dont use HWinfo, it friggin hates icue and corrupts it half the time (the app works, but various features break at seemingly random)
