GIGABYTE TECHNOLOGY Co. Ltd, a leading manufacturer of motherboards, graphics cards, and hardware solutions, today announce the latest BIOS update of AMD platform motherboards. To ensure users can embrace the performance boost, high compatibility, and high stability of 3rd Gen. AMD Ryzen XT Series desktop processors.

In order to furnish the best performance and user experience, AMD has been working closely with GIGABYTE and other motherboard vendors to provide BIOS code updates regularly for optimizing system performance or solving the issues verified by motherboard vendors. Adapted to the latest 3rd gen. are AMD Ryzen 9 3900XT,Ryzen 7 3800XT, Ryzen 5 3600XT processors. AMD provides AGESA ComboV2 1.0.0.2 BIOS for X570 and B550 chipset motherboards, and AGESA ComboV1 1.0.0.6 BIOS for X470, B450,X370, B350, and A320 chipsets products.

Although GIGABYTE motherboards can support 3rd gen. AMD Ryzen XT series processors without a BIOS update, based on the insistence of providing users better product experiences, GIGABYTE RD started relative verification right after receiving the new BIOS code. After discussion and back and forth modifications with AMD, the updated BIOS will be uploaded to the official website for download. With the AMD AGESA ComboV2 1.0.0.2 and ComboV1 1.0.0.6 BIOS update, the compatibility and reliability between the 3rd gen. AMD Ryzen XT series processors and motherboards are enhanced, as well as boosting the performance and overclocking ability of the latest processors. Users can update the latest BIOS to motherboards through multiple ways such as GIGABYTE @BIOS, Q-Flash. With Q-Flash Plus on the X570 and B550 series motherboards, users can easily update BIOS without even installing a processor, memory, graphics cards, so they can enjoy the new BIOS easily and take full advantage of the new processors.

The latest BIOS of GIGABYTE AMD X570, B550 motherboards are available on GIGABYTE website, others will be continually uploaded to the official website, users can download to optimize their systems. Please follow GIGABYTE official website for the latest BIOS update.

I am wondering what newest AGESA ComboAm4PI 1.0.0.6 from AMD actually do because I cannot really find anything information about it other then oh we bring 3000 series XT CPU support is that the only thing?

The AGESA 1.0.0.4 did give at least me better boot times of my NVME SSD before this version it was like my board actually booted twice before it booted.

You're not the only one. I wish detailed information about AMD CPUs were easier to come by.

MSI will issue the update for my X470 motherboard with the usual 3 months delay compared to Gigabyte, Asus and AsRock, if at all.
The motherboard itself is perfect and very well equipped for the price, but updates aren't a priority for them it seems.

Thanks a lot. I stand corrected, this time MSI surprised me. Beta BIOS is available for my motherboard. It took them 3 months to launch the 1.0.0.4 though.

Meanwhile, on top end ASUS boards, we are STILL waiting for the two month old AGESA 1.0.0.5...

Is there something wrong with the 2101 (ComboAM4v2PI 1.0.0.2) bioses, which are available for Crosshair VIII boards?

Besides, at this point AGESA makes a very little difference, since the platform has reached a stable-state a long time ago. Its not like you would be loosing performance in some workloads, because you're not using the most
recent AGESA version. At this point newer versions mostly include fixes and workaround for certain oddball scenarios and support for new hardware, which obviously doesn't affect your current system.

What o_O

I hope this isn't a rebadged x570, if AMD's going to outdo Intel on rehashes & (extra) 100Mhz premium products ~ might as well wait for them to come back to their senses & act more like AMD of the not too distant past!

Good, I'm the only one on Gigabyte B350 and 3950X, and I still get agesa updates. Nice. I mean, I don't what's new, but at least they still update old mobos.

And what BIOS are you talking about exactly? The Crosshair VIII only has AGESA v1.0.0.4 in its latest, stable BIOS release?

Hey guys. Anyone here with the same issue with me?
My x470 taichi doesn't accept all the ram when I using the new ryzen 5 3600xt.
Just one stick of ram shows up on bios. And also anyone knows when ASRock releases new bios for XT processor?

Don't Let the thread die here!
Older Chipset models based on AM4 need to be supported until AM5 arrives !
I have an Aorus B450m with 4x8 = Patriot Viper 32GB RAM 3200 CL16 that worked perfectly with a Ryzen 5 1600X since the F3 BIOS. I have now sold my CPU and I wish for a Zen 2 / Ryzen 5 4650G to replace it with but there is no support for the 4000 series on my Medium B450 Premium Board.
How hard and insistently do we need to push MB Manufacturers to update the BIOS? It's ZEN 2! not 3!
What am I supposed to do with an AMD XT CPU which is supported!? Find an Intel Extreme Edition club and ask if I could join?

Well, we will see after Zen 2 launches what GB will do.
