how would 4570 i5 with 8g ram run quest link?

hi im looking at the quest and i read it is better to invest on a gpu than processor but how true is this .

would it be capable?(it is close to 4590)
would 8 gig ddr3 be enough? would 12 or 16 make a big difference?

I'm assuming you didn't check the site for requirements.

Nor checked these.

You didn't list your GPU so who knows if you have minimum requirement.

If you live in the US the 5600XT or 2060S would be value picks but if you want ultimate value the 580 8GB should satisfy your need and there seem to be a few of them available.

hello kapone,
wow those are expensive hahaha
when you answered my question, i just want to make sur if you account for the specification that it is a gpu to run
LINK QUEST FROM OCCULUS
IM in canada.

also i will use more spécific words, i mean less expensive but still capable to run LINKS quest
and best bang for buck wich is maybe more expensive .
what did you mean by value and ultimate value?

does 580 8GB has a name larger?

I too am from Canada :toast: and you are right those prices do suck. There are a few 580 8GB but I would not pay more than $229 Canadian for a new 580. The 5500XT may be able to satisfy your needs but they are in the mid to high 3s. The best advice I can give you is to try to save as much as you can between now and August (If you can) as new GPUs are just around the corner and they should drop the price of if not the 5700 maybe the 5600XT into the low $300 range for a short time anyway. In terms of ultimate value, I mean in terms of what you get for what you pay for the 580, it will give you playable frame rates. In terms of value it is what it costs to get a modern GPU that is a noticeable upgrade from 2 or 3+ years ago. The 5600XT is just as fast as the Vega 64 (In most Games) but has 1/2 the MSRP and power draw. The 2060Super is Nvidia's (in my opinion) only sub $600 (I can't believe that) but the 5600XT is in the $370-400 range. Honourable mention would be the 1660 Super but that card in a lot of ways will be obsolete soon.

I'm not exactly sure if the usb c part of the quest link needs to be connected to the GPU. You can try reading in to virtual desktop instead of using the quest link. You can play pc games wirelessly using the QUEST.

The actual name is RX580.
