Lian Li is known at the higher-than-mainstream pricing bracket of the PC case world. The company made a name for itself with innovative-looking, angled motherboard brackets and well thought-out and engineered case layouts and materials, but has usually served the higher end of the spectrum. The company seems to be dipping its toes ever more slightly in the budget-friendly space with it's LANCOOL 215, though, which is bound to be releases this August.

The LANCOOL 215 will offer support for both standard and EATX motherboards, with the system being cooled by 2x 200 mm ARGB front fans that pull fresh (fresher in some places around the globe) air from outside the case through a perforated front panel. Hot air is then exhausted through a pre-installed rear 120 mm fan (non-RGB). A 360 mm radiator is supported in the front of the chassis, while the top supports a 280 mm one for added flexibility. But some would argue that having a good case for your PC hardware isn't enough unless you can showcase your PC hardware picks for your current build, so the LANCOOL 215 uses a tempered glass side panel for added "cool" factor. There's also an ARGB Lian Li logo on the bottom of the front fascia of the LANCOOL 215, and a PSU shroud which is practically standard these days. The best news? The LANCOOL 215 from Lian Li will be available for $69.99.

This looks really good. Top Radiator clearance is something you don't really see with sub $80 cases. Gonna put this on my list of possible next cases haha

Looks like a great budget airflow option. Mesh front very similar to phanteks p400a.

Off-topic a little bit, but I really hope the daisy chain fan design really starts catching on some and hopefully becomes the norm in the PC world

Looks like a CM 500 rip off.

I see it more as an improvement rather than a rip-off.

Really liking the look of this case as a Meshify C alternative, might end up using this for my nephew's upcoming build.

Feels like a typo (it's in the image though, lol).. Lian Li and sub $100 doesn't mix!

Their LanCool series has always been budget. In the past it has been because they used steel for most of the case instead of the aluminum in their normal Lian Li cases.

It being a CM ripoff isn't a bad thing. I have a build in one and it does well for cheap although I did upgrade to the mesh front panel.

Interesting case but I would have liked to see 140MM support for the exhaust as well.

I suppose anything with 2x200mm fans in the front is going to look like a CM 500 rip-off, but I prefer the cleaner lines on this, the CM 500 series is still a little too busy for my liking. It actually reminds me more of the Phanteks p400a. I agree, being a CM 500 rip-off is no bad thing (assuming the mesh variant is chosen), it seems like a great case, I just prefer this more restrained approach, if restrained is the right word for anything with 2x200mm rgb fans ;). Is your case the MC500 or the H500?

It's the H500. I cheaped out, it was for my 5 year old daughter when I bought it ha.

Doesn't sound so "budget" after all. $30-40 is a BUDGET case, not ~$70. What is considered high end then? Completely open or something over $300?

Whether or not $70 appears expensive is very much a subjective issue, but I think the point here is that in the context of Lian Li cases this is most definitely a "budget" offering: their cases have always been amongst the most expensive.

I think its the Same chassis as the Gamemax F15 mesh with small differences, Lian Li has some rubber grommets, front mesh panel is a different design, and feet are different, Gamemax F15 has a argb 120 fan at the back, Lian i think is just a normal 120 fan. I have the Gamemax f15 mesh, good case 280mm rad in the roof no problems , very good air flow and if you like a glass front with some mesh you can get it for £15.

Looks similar, too bad I can't purchase one here in USA.

I didn't want to wait and purchased a Coolermaster MastercaseH500. It's a really nice case other than the goofy fan controller.
