At this year's CES, ASUS is focusing on their Republic of Gamers ROG Series. The new products are mice, keyboards, monitors, gaming laptops and more.

18:11 UTC: First up, gaming gear.

18:11 UTC: ASUS ROG Claymore II keyboard. You can switch the keypad to the other side to make more space around your mouse. ASUS ROG RX Blue optical mechanical switches are used. RX Red is also an option. These switches are made in-house at ASUS. Connectivity is wired over USB-C or 2.4 GHz wireless. The 4000 mAh battery will last up to 40 hours. Charging takes 30 minutes for an 8 hour charge.

18:14 UTC: The ASUS ROG Gladius III Wireless mouse features tri-mode connectivity with low latency. The design supports 3-pin mechanical and 5-pin Omron switches, you are free to pick a switch that you prefer. A wired version exists, too.

18:17 UTC: Monitors. The new ROG Swift PG32UQ supports 4K 144 Hz with a response time of 1 ms. Support for NVIDIA G-SYNC with variable overdrive. ELMB Sync is included and it is VESA DisplayHDR 600 certified.

18:19 UTC: There's more models with 28 inch and 43 inch.

18:20 UTC: ASUS ROG laptops. The host explains new features like a new fan design, which achieves better airflow with less noise.

18:21 UTC: AI noise cancellation can filter incoming and outgoing audio. It's executed on the CPU, so your gaming FPS isn't affected.

18:22 UTC: ASUS is announcing a 360 Hz Full-HD laptop panel, for ultra low latency gaming.

18:22 UTC: ASUS STRIX Scar 17 laptop, which is their top-of-the-line eSports gaming laptop. AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX and GeForce RTX 3080.

18:24 UTC: The ROG STRIX G family of laptops comes in three looks and is more affordable. 90 Wh battery, USB-C charger with up to 100 W, which is coming to all 2021 ROG laptops.

18:25 UTC: The second display is raised, to allow more airflow. 6-phase power design.

18:26 UTC: ROG Zephyrus G15. 90 Wh battery, too, up to 15 hours of runtime. Display is 1440p with 165 Hz.

18:28 UTC: Zephyrus G14.

18:28 UTC: ROG Flow X13, looks a bit like a bulky ThinkPad from back in the day. GTX 1650, Ryzen 9 5980HS. Not sure if this is supposed to be "HX" ? Or maybe there is a second SKU of this AMD Ryzen processor. ASUS did have the Ryzen 4800HS last year.

18:29 UTC: ASUS ROG XG Mobile is an external graphics card, that connects to the host system over a proprietary USB-C connection. Unlike other eGPUs, it is much more compact and light-weight at just 6% the size of typical external graphics solution and weights only 1 kg. It supports RTX 3080 with up to 150 W. For cooling a vapor-chamber solution is used. Much higher bandwidth than Thunderbolt—PCIe 3.0 x8. A 280 W power adapter, and additional outputs, so you can power both eGPU and laptop from one source.

18:30 UTC: A teaser is shown for a concept gaming case, and the render also has a teaser for the new ASUS ROG RYUJIN II CPU AIO cooler. The case uses the EATX form factor, and the Ryujin II has a 3.5" display on the CPU waterblock, that displays system stats, like temperature.

It seems the event is completed, the host is just walking about in the virtual world now, no new products.

All they need to do is put the newer components into the Zephyrus G14 and make sure to use a 144/120Hz 4ms GtG panel, unlike the 22/32ms one they launched with last year. That one had noticeable ghosting I had to return it to Best Buy.

That case is ridiculous. It literally looks like the 8/infinity ornament on the RTX30FE cards bent into a U-shape.

Is it me or are they all using AMD processers

My thought exactly. If AMD is able to supply Asus with Zen 3 mobile, it will be significant. I've been pretty outspoken that the lack of Zen 3 on any of the top OEMs is a sign of poor supply, and it is. The big OEMs will not mess around with low supply, as combined they ship unit counts on the order of 10s of millions per month. It disrupts their production to have low or unreliable volume suppliers.

However, Asus is one of the top 7 OEMs. What will be more telling is if AMD can get a 2nd or 3rd of the major OEMs, like an HP Acer, Lenovo, Dell and so on.

Even if they don't do that, it will be very interesting to see if these laptops enter the market in any real volume.

Or is there 485976498564 Intel model variants but they chose to not show them for this event?

Pre-briefing was all AMD.
When asked about Intel, the answer was pretty much that designs will be more common based on them with high performance SKUs in the future. Same goes for the Flow X13's relatively tame GTX 1650 Super, and an upcoming replacement in the future to something a bit more potent.

I notice a Fitting Room behind him, is that like a safe room where you can have a fit after all the RGB's melt your brain?
