80k for the most expensive laptop ( or console??) ever, I think best buy might want a cut of that action!

I wonder if the scalpers/resellers will buy these to resell.

Great, so when The Witcher 4 comes out you need a new car.

You never had to do a 5+ hour drive? If I could've played Pikmin 2 on my west to east coast trip I wouldn't be such an angry person today.

I quite like those trips, always have. We did lots of them when I was growing up, and even today i relish them, especially if I'm alone, and especially if I get to drive through places with few people. It's just me and the car, total silence (I don't even listen to music and radio mostly makes me angry), and my thoughts churning away in the background. It's almost meditative, and I get to see new stuff. New trees, maybe some animals, interesting light, interesting clouds... I even like the endless grayness that is clouded over winter days.

That steering thing is awful. Steering wheels is a solved problem, no need to upgrade them.

The DOT already wants both hands on the wheel, the reason why only automatic transmissions trucks are being built today. 2 years ago, 85% of Freightliner trucks being built where autos, today its higher.
This and fuel savings.

I can play Need For Speed in my VW Golf

Downgrade you mean.

Without an area to grab the top, you won't be able to do a "shuffle steer". Hand-over-hand steering (not recommended anymore due to airbags) might be possible, but would be complicated by the missing section...

I mean sure, you could play cyberpunk...but why would you?
Judging by the trend of video card prices, soon a Model S will be the cheaper option to play these games.

The answer to the question in the title is no, the Tesla cannot play games, the driver and passengers possibly can. ;)

Usual Tesla... trying to win people over with features that have nothing to do with cars, while their cockpit is still ugly AF. I mean, where's the steering wheel? They seriously can't ecpect people to steer a car with that... thing. :kookoo:

The driver should be focused on driving. Even the passengers playing games on the centre console provides a possible distraction for the driver. Bad idea. Same as putting climate controls and radio volume settings on a touchscreen.

What about when you have a couple of hours to kill, waiting for your battery to charge? :D

I'd more likely spend those couple of hours on trying to find the heater controls in the menu.
