CORSAIR, a world leader in high-performance gear for gamers and creators, is pleased to announce it has acquired Visuals by Impulse, the world's premium design platform for creators, which will join CORSAIR under its existing Elgato brand.

Founded in 2015, Visuals by Impulse (VBI) provides professional design for creators on Twitch, YouTube, and Facebook Gaming. Streamers around the world use VBI overlays, alerts, and widgets to customize their broadcasts and grow their fanbases. Thanks to VBI technology and design, anyone can create stylish, personalized live-streaming content — from first-time creators to streaming superstars.

VBI works with some of the biggest names in live-streaming, from international celebrities, to esports organizations, to gaming and technology brands. VBI is a trusted partner for over 200,000 creators — and the industry's go-to resource for free graphics, premium animations, and online streaming tools.

"With the addition of Visuals by Impulse to the Elgato family, we're excited to extend our core mission of empowering content creators. Design is a crucial element shaping a creator's identity, and VBI has been at the forefront of making beautiful and interactive design accessible to anyone," said Julian Fest, SVP and General Manager at Elgato. "Together with the talented team at VBI, we plan to push the boundaries of what design can mean for creators."

"We're delighted to join and work alongside the Elgato family, a brand that has become synonymous with giving creators the tools they need to truly shine. Elgato's attention to detail with products, marketing, and the role of design matches our own and makes us ideal partners," said Caleb Leigh, Founder and General Manager of Visuals by Impulse. "We're excited to bring new innovations to creators across the globe, especially exploring the potential of matching Elgato's platforms, such as Stream Deck, with VBI's design capabilities."

Visuals by Impulse will become a product line within Elgato. For more information on Visuals by Impulse, please visit: https://visualsbyimpulse.com/

Corsair should kick the lifeboat engine management team out, and put people like Jonnyguru back in so they could come up with all the solid products like they did in past. That's the way for them to keep their Corsair boat afloat. Consistently coming up with crappy keyboards and stuff is a no avail.

Clearly Corsair is doing just fine for themselves with all the acquisitions.

I'm not interested in Elgato, RGB fans and other nonsense. Sorry but they aren't taking my money much anymore. Their only good stuff left is some PSUs and AIOs, pretty much. They've turned themselves into a meme company.

Which is why you buy the good stuff and take out the bad stuff apart when you're making your purchases. The digital new AX850 Titanium is a great overkill PSU, for instance.

I've seen things I can't stomach down the Corsair discord.

I'd take a Nanoxia fan from 2009 over some of their absolutely overpriced RGB garbage fans. Plantronics is a good company, by the way.

Sorry, that's not an answer to my question.
Every other news post, you're in there, slagging the companies off, telling everyone how crap the products are.
So please, tell us what we should be buying. You came up with two companies and the first has a very limited amount of parts and the second no longer makes anything "gaming".
And no, Plantronics isn't anything special, had a headset from them, that was originally sold at around $200, one of the headphones snapped off as the part that connects it to the headband broke. Great quality indeed...

That's your own opinion, of course nobody is forcing you to take mine as high ground.

I do dig Plantronics, they also make some not so great headsets, that is correct. As for other companies, Fractal Design, Phanteks and Lian-Li are some of the companies I dig.

I recently acquired a PC-9F for cheap, and it has amazing build quality. Far better than the Phanteks case I bought, or most things else for that matter. However this is off topic.

I guess you really don't keep up with things. Plantronics as a company is gone. They merged with Polycom and are called Poly now. They sold off the consumer headset business to some French game developer who re-branded it Nacon. I think you'll find that Poly doesn't have a single product you'd buy today.

Lian-Li has lost the plot and second hand gear doesn't count as most people don't buy that when they build a new system.

So once again, what should we buy when we build our PCs oh great PC Guru.

It's good that you're keeping up while I'm not. A DSP 600 series can still be had from fleabay for some $29, but yeah, it doesn't matter anymore. It's old stuff.

What do you think I buy crappy Elgato products for Twitch crapshows? It's all a nerd mess down Corsair. I'll keep my Pioneer DDJ-SP1 and use it with Serato...

you're free to buy whatever you want to buy, again, this is all my opinion on this matter. Corsair used to make decent Asetek AIOs (albeit with some flaws), now other companies are in the same boat and they make better AIOs (Arctic Cooling Liquid Freezer, yes). We can make examples like this all day, as if it'll get us somewhere.

Sorry, but why can't you answer my question, it's a very simple one.
Instead, you just keep bashing brands you don't like.

Check Jonnyguru's Linkedin employment status and be amazed by the sheer amount of your own ignorance (to put it mildly).

Same, but apparently the market wants disco PC before function.

Meanwhile, my Lightning Node Pro disco just stopped working the other day. Just shy of 1,5 years. Nice! I think I'll sell off the replacement.

Jonnyguru is currently head of the PSU engineering team, he manages all PSU development.
