Nvidia has a fiduciary responsibility, I'm not knocking how they are acting as a company. I'm saying as a gamer it sucks.

I've seen several threads just bashing on nVidia because their cards are used for mining and gamers can't buy them. But may I ask, where are the AMD cards going? Can anyone find me a RX 6000 series in stock?

Title changed, OP informed by PM, let's now please move on from focussing on the title ...... thank you.
With all due respect, Is it me or "Nvidia's profiteering ...Double the profits while torturing their customers" is not an improvement at all? What is there to correlate with the original post?
"torturing their customers"... why? how? what is this about?

It seems more like a pointless post by a troll/fanboy.

Anyway, Nvidia isn't to blame, but the consumer who buy GPUs to mine and scalpers who sell GPUs to higher price than MSRP, and the system that let this happen.

Stay on topic. If you want to go off-topic with these pointless posts, I can mention your blues about being homeless while owning expensive GPUs.

I'm not saying people can't change things. I'm saying the power on the opposite side is above the power of joe average.
You forgot to mention the part where you threw a hissy fit and left telling someone to stick a chiller up their ass because they disagreed with an 'opinion' of yours.
Well the matter of fact here is the GPUs costing $1000 while they should only cost $200. This practice is done thanks to some million people. Of course doing the right to each individual's own would help make the world a better place. But, it's a bad world over all, you know. 1.000.000 people's market > 100 people's market. That's how the stocks roll.

This is not just a case with GPUs but with pretty much any item. You're living bound to Dollars, Yens, Euros or whatever it is and how much it changes on a daily basis. Unless you have the power to change this, what you say ain't gonna do much at all.
Source? Do you even know how much it costs to produce a GPU? Also, you do realize companies require something called "profit" in order to operate? It's not like the 2080ti die is $1 a piece for example, and you have to account for yields and many other factors........ Either way cite your sources or stop living in a dreamworld where you think everything should cost nothing.

What, say who's fabs now.
Nvidia own no production fabs.

Making a massive complex GPU on a poorly yielding node and process is what killed supply that and selling to miner's directly out the back door pre AIB even.

Are they losing entire wafers? If the defect rate/area was high, one would expect that they'd be slicing them into smaller dice and have released the lower-end parts sooner. Or do I misunderstand wafer subdivision?

Also, have direct-to-mining sales been confirmed? All I've seen so far are vague references and rumors in comment threads. Nvidia's admittedly holding all the cards here, but that still seems like a good way to get in hot water with one's existing partners.

It’s not possible to cut a complete GPU die into two pieces, and have two functional GPU dies from that one.

That was his point, this is literally a Nvidia hate thread as per most things on TPU, if it isn't AMD it's shitted upon here.

*shrug* Underdog love. If AMD ends up in a dominant position for any length of time, it'll flip like a pancake.

Take the money you would have spent on the card. Buy 2 or 3 shares of NVDA stock right now before earnings, which are huge, wait a few days and cash out. Now you can afford it.

no buy ETH since nvidia's stock would depend on that, in/out sooner!

in the meantime i'm waiting for covid-19 to be traced back to JH's "personal bat" . . .

You'd think that with all the cursed miasma surrounding the Nvidia name, someone would have actually attempted to rally some major Nvidia shareholders to their cause to put behind-the-scenes pressure on Nvidia management, or question Nvidia at their AGM regarding product supply and their appalling handling and response to scalpers on their web store.

You know, investor activism, the trend that's on the (slow) rise as of late. Instead of bitching and moaning behind a computer screen.

I love how all the negligent retailers are sitting back laughing, implementing zilch in terms of anti-scalping verification, and still quietly raking in the dough as people are lambasting Nvidia.

Words fail me right now to describe how egotistical, ungrateful and judgemental the online communities can be sometimes.

Nvidia are being hated because they're making a PROFIT? Oh come on.

OP is clearly super keen to trigger these witchhunts. He should've eaten a bloody Snickers before writing that title. Sheeeeesh!

Everytime I see these types of threads, I can't help but ask myself, "how many of the people posting actually NEED a new GPU upgrade?" Like, there's a difference between "I need a new GPU because my Xxxx is a dog/inadequate" and "I need a new GPU so I can constantly brag about it on teh forums! (and then act like I'm outraged at the lack of GPUs)"

Another thread whining about Nvidia just normally selling its cards. Like what do you expect? Nvidia to sell cards only to gamers and giving up free revenue as if they don't need to make money? It's funny how a lot of people are blaming everything on Nvidia instead of the miners who bought the whole stock of cards. The price is just controlled by the market mechanism, higher demand and insufficient supply makes every product's price rise and you can't actually do anything about it.

The thing is, Nvidia can't do shit about it. What could they do?
The issue is more or less on the supplier side of things, not on nvidia's end.

Talking shit ain't gonna do anything either. I do hope this could change too, don't get me wrong, but this type of thread and hate leads to nothing but the obvious; there's an issue, but no practical solution.
