AMDs availability so far on GPUs has been worst than Nvidia.

They really should look at that as a viable option. Guess they could bring Vega 64 back and re-spin on 12nm with 8 or 16GB HBM2. Let miners have those cards.

Come on EU only consists of a few peasant villages with a total population of several tens of thousands, so GPU shipments of a few thousand are entirely appropriate.

Problem with this is, even used 5000 series cards, including the 5500XT, are being sold on sites like Ebay and Amazon for far more than the cards costed new. Saw one listing on Ebay the other night for a Sapphire Nitro+ 5500XT where the seller was asking $500USD for it! That card sold for what, $250 or thereabouts new, I think? You definitely see more Ebay listings for 5700XT's though, more so than 5600XT or 5500XT. Can't find listings for the Nitro+ 5700XT starting at less than $500 to $600

I did find somebody who was selling a pair of 270X Toxics for a good deal though :laugh:

The nonsensical bitching about GPU availability is getting annoying.

AH, demand is still way over supply? Mkay then.

AMD/NV produce GPU chips sell them to OEMs. Exactly what needs to happen so that GPUs reach "the right" people?

One of the things AMD promised to do is to favor physical retailers over online.
Naturally, online dudes would get smaller share of the cards.

That being said, nothing "paper" about AMD GPU availability on mindfactory. Last week was a bi tcurious though, with NV Ampere being nearly exclusively 3060. Before that, it was 1:2 or 1:1.5 for the latest gen GPUs.

The price of GPU's is plain nutz these days, I see scalpers listing an RTX 3060 for 1130USD, and the RTX 3060 Ti for 1188USD in the local tech Garage section.....pure mind numbing madness! :wtf:

Which part? Mining? Mining doesn't require an upfront investment (you will want a power GPU/ASIC, but it's not technically a requirement), so there's nothing to lose like in a Ponzi scheme. Trading? Trading is no different than trading most other goods. It's not regulated, so it's riskier, but like in all trading, the higher the risk, the higher the gain potential.

Crypto may be a lot of things, but a Ponzi scheme is not one of them, sorry.

Well, to my surprise, Proshop has a lot of 6700XT's available. That's way better than it was with other 6000 series GPUs.
even other stores have these in stock so I guess this thread (tapping to the title of this thread actually) seems far fetched.

You know, considering the 25% add tax to electronics in Norway it's not bad. I looked over at allegro.pl and the prices are astronomical there but the lowest I could find is 1K EUR.
Who would have thought that It would have been cheaper to buy in Norway than in Poland. It was always all the way around.
I know the GPUs are overpriced but considering the situation and all that has been said in media, by reviewers it will not end tomorrow. We are stuck with these prices for longer.
The question is now if you can buy these cards.
MSI already has announced jacking prices up for graphics due to components availability issues and components prices greatly increasing. Asus already said the prices will go up 3 weeks ago if I'm not mistaken. So looking for any graphics at MSRP is fulls errand although I'd look anyway if I needed one.

6700XT is about 1.5 times smaller than 6800XT.
336mm2 vs 520mm2

No wonder AMD has actually skewed its production into the smaller chips, which still sell for more than 6800XT was supposed to cost.
