Unrelated, I think I might finally open a steam link. I bought a few of them when they were dirt cheap. Gonna setup CP2077 and that ups delivery game to stream to my tv so I can game in bed lol, put that 3090 to more use.

Package turned up in amsterdam - it was on a cancelled flight due to snow, and the tracking thought it continued on instead of being unloaded.

oh hell yes, nicehash has already paid for the watercooling on the GPU, and this months electricity bill

I'll never be a hardcore miner, but if you own a 30 series card you might as well get some of the cost back

I'd rather keep my GPU intact for the next 5 years. I don't trust anything anymore after my 2070 died after 1 year with mild usage.

I've stopped mining on my 3080 now that the solar is in the deepest lull of the year. If I have +1kw being generated when I leave for work, and get home from work, I'lll get the 3080 mining, otherwise, it's just the GTX1080 box that's on Ubuntu and a solar schedule.

Ah I've been wondering if I should try a block with an active backplate. But seems like it wouldn't do much for me, I'm already sitting at 72°C to 74°C with my heatsink mod.

Mine sits at 106MH/s with -400 core, no VRAM offset and 62% power target (260watt) Funny thing is it does not bounce around at all, like zoom or just word processing. Temps are no where near a water cooled though. My VRAM junction is constantly at 96C during mining.

I flashed the Kingpin XOC BIOS that has 1000W PL, pretty much allowing my 3090 to maintain whatever clocks it can reach. I haven't tried higher clocks than 2130mhz/1.0Vcore since the 3090 is already pulling ~480W at that clocks

, there are still lots of leg room remaining though.

I dunno it hasnt stopped mining since the water went on, its around 80C at all times now

Oh I know what I'm doing actually

, been playing around with unlocked BIOS since Titan X Maxwell, 1080Ti, 2080Ti and they still live to this day.
It's kinda jaw dropping how much power the 3090 can suck at 1.0Vcore though, all those GPU before the 3090 would be running at 1.2Vcore to use this much power.
