Palit, PNY and Gainward along with Galax, kfa2 etc i think are in the same umbrella, just targeting different regions

I thought PNY and Palit were 2 very different and distinct companies, what with the former based in USA, and the latter in Taiwan? I'm assuming Palit designs and manufactures their own cards for sale outside USA, while PNY just sticks their logo on Palit's cards to sell in the USA.
