NVIDIA Announces GeForce RTX 3080 Ti ($1200) and RTX 3070 Ti ($600)

There is absolutely zero scalping via legit retailers. Show me one, that isn't being sold through a retailer by a third party.
You'd be surprised what happens across the pond.

X-kom in Poland, yes that's a minimum of $1800 for 3070.

Of course their prices are the same as scalpers, they sell the cards for around 3 times more than before.
Show me. I have yet to see one thst isnt some bs third party selling through walmart, newegg, Amazon for scalper pricing. Thats nothing to do with Amazon, newegg, walmart etc. Actual cards sold by them are at MSRP or whatever the AIB has set price for.

I mean theres exchange rates and shit at play here, no? Also do these sellers allow third parties to sell through them like Amazon and Newegg?

These are official retailers, no 3rd party sellers, exchange rates didn't just magically jump 300% only for GPUs.

^ That's PLN to USD exchange rate over the past year. No drastic changes.

Price for RTX 3060 should be around 2000 PLN, 2700 PLN for 3070, 3600 PLN for 3080. Currently they are pretty much tripple of what they should cost and it's like that since January this year.
Sure, you might be lucky to be in US, but pretty much everyone outside is getting screwed by retailers/distributors/manufacturers etc.

Are those prices that they should be the original MSRP set by Nvidia? Majority of AIBS did announce price increases earlier this year too. Though i guess retailers could gouge too.

That is not what I am saying. Of course there was no 300% price increase. But Asus, EVGA, MSI they all did announce increases ranging from $50-200+ over original MSRPs they set for their custom cards. Seems like people not in the US are getting railed that's for sure. Its bad in US too, but not 300% bad.

Just avoid ebay and retailers that allow 3rd parties. Or if buying from Amazon, it better say "Shipped and Sold by Amazon" usually prices are normal.

Amazon posts 3080 FTW cards for $850 almost daily. They sell right away though.

The AIBs or someone in the supply chain is setting those ridiculous prices. And I'm not talking about Amazon and the like, but official distributors of nVidia and AMD (both physical and online stores), that used to sell the same cards at reasonable prices in December but now they doubled the price.

Supply and demand????

Maybe Poland is singled out. NVidia wants them to fix Cyberpunk first and get going on that Witcher 3 RTX update.

There's going to be a Witcher 3 RTX update?

Except CaseKing is a German retailer.

And once again, the 300% prices are from OFFICIAL retailers listed by Nvidia, no 3rd party.

Well, the bit about Poland being singled out may be made up...

I wouldn't be that surprised that we could get a Witcher 3 enhanced edition that has RT in it though.

Just glad they did not call these SUPER

Damn....$1200 for a 3080Ti card.

My 980Ti has lasted me 6 years now and only cost about $650. That's just about 110$ a year if you were to break up the price per year.
To get the same price out of a 3080Ti would require me to use it for almost 11 years.

Sounds like an overpriced piece of junk when compared to the 3080 version that has a MSRP of $700.

I'd be happy if I could get my hands on any RX 6700XT, 6800 or 3060Ti, 3070, 3070Ti that was actually at MSRP prices. I wonder how much longer I'll have to wait or do I just say F it and move away from PC gaming because GPUs are so over priced (from listed MSRP) or so hard to find to begin with?

GPU market totally broken, we are seeing the bad sides of a free market.

Still no 3050 or 3030 gpu's, plus we are seeing Nvidia has been sitting on chips that could have gone into filling 3080 backorders.

Yes, this would be a non issue with socialism...

This is most likely chips that did not make it to a fully working 3090 / GA102, but close.
No need to sell them as 3080's, which is far more cutdown than 3080 Ti. This is why Ti models most often launch much later.

How many people are REALLY still waiting for their 3080 ordered last year? Not many I believe..

On one UK retailer alone approx 4000 customers. 90% of them ordered release day, the retailer is getting shipments of about 5-10 per month from each AIB, evga havent sent any to them for 4 months.

Evga themselves also have a queue although in their case its not backorders, but rather a queue to order.

The retailer said 3060ti has same issue as they putting all the chips into 3070s refusing to put 3070 grade chips into reducing 3060ti backlog.

Maybe, maybe not - 3060 Ti launched much later than 3070 but both are increasing on steam hw survey

Whats funny tho, is that Radeon 6000 is nowhere to be seen on steam, and these chips are not even good for mining, so..

Yup, it's time to join the light ~

No. Personally, I absolutely hate playing with controllers now. I tried playing a few games on my brother's PS4 last time I was down visiting him and I hated it. Everything just feels slow and cumbersome. You won't catch me spending my money on a console.
