The recently announced flagship Intel i7-1195G7 11th generation Tiger Lake mobile processor with a 5.0 GHz single turbo clock has recently been tested in Geekbench V5. The processor achieved an extremely impressive score of 1700 points in single-core performance which puts it above many desktop-class processors including the Ryzen 5000X lineup and only just below Intel's Rocket Lake-S desktop processors. The benchmarks come from a pre-production CLEVO NV4XMJ unit with the processor scoring between 1662 to 1700 points across three samples. We expect further benchmarks for the new processor to be available imminently as the CPU is already available in select products.

AVX512 is so great and extremely useful, especially in laptops.

Hard to believe, with 4-7% clock speed bump (200-300 MHz) this processor reaches about 20-23% performance against older Tiger Lake UP3 models, ¿Are people of Geekbench sure about those results?

Single core Score:
Core i7-1165G7 -> 1.402 points
Core i7-1185G7 -> 1.419 points

Inb4 it used unrealistic power management profile that won't be used in actual laptops with it, hence most users buying it won't see those numbers without specifically tweaking for them.

Keep in mind Geekbench does not measure IPC. It's very easy to inflate the scores without really doing much architecturally, you can for example add a ton more AES performance and boom, the scores skyrocket. Another reason why this benchmark is worthless.
