G.SKILL International Enterprise Co., Ltd., the world's leading manufacturer of extreme performance memory and gaming peripherals, is thrilled to announce the Z5i Mini-ITX chassis, a minimalist and compact PC case constructed for high-performance, small-form-factor (SFF) builds. The Z5i features a sleek pentagonal prism case design with curved tempered glass side panels on both sides, and is capable of supporting liquid cooler radiators of up to 280 mm and high-end triple-slot graphics cards of up to 330 mm in length for a small, yet powerful PC build.

The G.SKILL Z5i is a uniquely crafted Mini-ITX case with curved 4 mm tempered glass side panels that wrap around the precision-made single-piece aluminium exterior frame to form a 5-sided case, showcasing the dual-chamber design so internal hardware components can be viewed from both sides. To enable a cleaner workspace, the Z5i is created with a bottom-facing motherboard I/O panel so cables can be neatly and easily managed.

Compactly Designed for High-End Hardware
Designed to accommodate high-end hardware components, the Z5i Mini-ITX case supports large 3-slot graphics cards of up to 330 mm in length and supports up to a 280 mm AIO radiator or two 140 mm case fans in the rear for cooling. Ample data storage is also essential in a high performance system, so the Z5i is constructed to house up to three storage drives, including two 2.5" SSDs and a third convertible 2.5"/3.5" SSD/HDD drive space.

Front Panel Connectivity & ARGB Lighting
For easy access to external USB devices, the front panel on the Z5i is equipped with two USB 3.0 ports and one USB 3.1 Type-C port, providing convenient high-speed connections to modern portable storage devices or smartphones. The Z5i also integrates ARGB to provide ambient underglow case lighting via the standard 3-pin 5 V RGB header on supported motherboards, and controllable with motherboard lighting software for easy lighting customizability.

Designed with Excellence
Designed to support high-end components and integrating unique features into the compact Mini-ITX form factor, the Z5i has received worldwide recognition for its product design as the recipient of "iF Design Award 2021" and "Red Dot Design Award 2021".

Yep, it's ~24l, which is pretty large for ITX. Definitely prioritizing aesthetics over space efficiency. At least the airflow layout kind of interesting, but the GPU is bound to be choking behind that glass. And bottom I/O is never good.

Excelente case if you need a heater. I bet a 3080 inside will reach 80c easily.

The back IO is in the bottom?!

Noo...please...don't make this another fad...this is terrible for the ones who change conectors all the time, USBs, audio jacks, network...in fact I have my case with the back facing me so I can access the important part easy instead of struggling to find something and have a worthless good looking side facing me.

Covering the GPU with a glass works very well, especially for baking something inside. :. (

Small? Take a look at the recently reviewed Meshlicious, it's 3/5ths the size of this yet fits the same hardware.

I'm okay with this though this case is nowhere near "small form factor," more like a small midtower using mini-itx. (If it fits a 330mm GPU and giving a rough estimate by eye because they don't give us dimensions of the case, it's probably around W200m x D 250mm x H450mm)

I personally would have bought this case if it fit a 360mm rad. It does have an intake fan on the bottom... right? (Might as well shield off the backside of the tempered glass on both sides where the compartment next to the GPU is.)

Would make for a good custom watercool case then.

There's room on the bottom rear or side to place the Motherboard I/O plate, they should have designed it that way, but I suppose the cost of cabling made it prohibitive.

I don't want a nuc case style
Compared to what is fitted inside this case, and have enough room for components to breathe.

To compare what is now in my desk

NUC style? Lol, I think you need to adjust your sense of scale :p Also, the Meshlicious is pretty much the definition of a highly breathable case - far more than this. I was just pointing out that this is pretty large for an ITX case but has nothing to show for it in terms of cooling, parts fitment or functionality.

Hi,
Inside is as tall as an FE and I suppose a 280mm rad so looks like bare minimum height plus the base.

?

As others have pointed out, the meshilicous is 10L smaller with the same hardware and cooling support, better airflow, rear IO, and full ATX PSU support. It’s probably cheaper to boot.

It's not a boring box like Meshlicious is, so I'm somewhat interested. Have to wait for the reviews I guess
