My i7 11700kf seems stable on 5GHZ at 1.39v … I know other people flex about having lower voltages for the 5GHZ. But my question here is , is that normal? The 1.39?

liked ur post .. Imma stick to MY OC thou , thanks ..My opinion, is no.....that is on the high side. not bat shit insane high, but high none the less.
I use 1.31V for 5.1 GHz all core i9-9900K for comparison
There is of course the silicon lottery and you may have an under performer but I really think you could get that voltage lower for better temps.
Also, forego running ABC and XYZ benchmarks putting insane loads on the CPU, unless, you actually do work that involves putting those kinds of heavy loads on it. If it runs your games you play or programs you run fine, who gives a shit if some benchmark spits out an error or makes your PC crash. My opinion is its better to test with your own real world applications, not benchmarks. Because if you never use those heavy loads that would make you think your OC is not stable, then it is of no value to you to spend time making tweaks to the OC settings to get it to run during loads/applications you never actually do outside of posting bragging and e-peen rights on a forum lol

compared to the predecessor i7 10xxx the 11th Gen is a real heathead. AND VERY thirsty. i had both. the 11th forced to buy a new PSU at least

the question with the 7700k was rather whether it is worthwhile to go to 5Ghz, because from 4.9 to 5.0 the good piece has allowed itself a full 75watt extra for 100Mhz, not to say swallowed or burned.Well, when I had a 7600K I was disappointed that it wasn't stable at 5GHz. With 7700K that wasn't a problem anymore as it OC'd even more than 5.

Didn't have problems with it as it was watercooled and delidded, stable at 5.2 (-2 AVX). Ran it at 5GHz though as it allowed using lower voltage.the question with the 7700k was rather whether it is worthwhile to go to 5Ghz, because from 4.9 to 5.0 the good piece has allowed itself a full 75watt extra for 100Mhz, not to say swallowed or burned.
I'm never over 4.9Ghz with him because I left it at a simple rational decision to let it stay. 5.1Ghz were feasible without problems with delidding

Is it more than 250W? Maybe 300W?I'm curious...
What is the CPU power draw and temperature at these settings?
A screenshot of HWiNFO64 sensor window under 100% CPU load, like the following will answer my question nicely.

300Watt is realistic and the temps went never higher than 65°C-82°C BUT under water with a premium cooling system and extra strong ventsIs it more than 250W? Maybe 300W?
90C? Maybe 100C?
Did I hit a sensitive spot or what and I was completely ignored which is fine BTW.
I’m curious by nature…
