Bitspower Intros XYZ Pump+Reservoir

Bitspower today introduced the XYZ, a small pump+reservoir contraption for small to medium-size liquid cooling loops involving single 240 mm to 360 mm radiators. Made almost entirely of clear acrylic with an attached pump, the XYZ can hold up to 180 ml of coolant in a zig-zag tube-shaped channel, including a flow indicator. The integrated Bitspower P5D pump offers a flow-rate of up to 14.5 L/m, with a maximum noise output of 40 dBA. It can be regulated using standard 4-pin PWM signal. The acrylic body is studded with addressable RGB LEDs that take in standard 3-pin headers, and can be controlled via software. Available now, the XYZ is priced at the equivalent of USD $160.

why is the flow-indicator in a separate area ??? This really doesn't make sense as you need another 2 connectors and hosing where the thought of those would be to reduce hoses and stuff.... else, why would I want it "this big" and have the flow-meter integrated in this unit? Really doesn't make sense to me....

It's probably meant as a quasi-distro plate type of thing. I.e. routing tubing from the outlet, to CPU or GPU, back to the flow indicator, then to the GPU or CPU, then to the inlet at the end of the res - could make for cleaner tubing runs depending on the build. You can always just not use that part, skip it entirely, and not lose out on anything meaningful.

I wonder about the dimensions of this thing - it looks reasonably compact, which would make this a somewhat tempting option for SFF builds.

L/h and L/m aren't the same

Still, that's way off. 460L/h / 60 = 7.7L/m. But then the product in your link looks quite different from the one this article covers (higher volume, no flow indicator, pump attachment is very different). Yours is also named "Lite" while this word is entirely absent from the article. I'd guess they're different designs using different pumps.
