It's geographically part of the continent, but separated by Canada, so not considered contiguous (connected).

Continental US is essentially business shorthand for "not Alaska and Hawaii," unfortunately. It's fairly understandable from a shipping point of view, since most carriers (UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc) charge high rates in and out of AK/HI, but for USPS it's identical. Most people don't know that, though, so they just exclude us entirely. We're used to it.

The email reply I got from Fractal was of no comfort as they just sent generic excuses why it wasn't a global competition. :mad:
