Hello I'm looking to identify the hardware straps for the titan z/tesla k80 cards, The goal is to flash the tesla K80 with titan z firmware, But the hardware id straps are needed to complete the mod. I have not found a schematic or board file on the usual channels.

Thanks, but I need PCB pics.
If you look up your specific cards youbwill get pcb pics

Thanks, but I need PCB pics.

You would be cutting the K80 ram capacity in Half

I would just mod the Tesla bios

Unfortunately no tesla pcb images

Or Titan Z pcb pics, you may need to look at a hex editor and compare the bios files I provided in 3 links...

I have two nvidia Titan Z cards in their boxes. I have all the files from when they were SLI in my PC (eons ago). There isn't a separate PLX firmware in any of the files I have from them. VBIOS yes, display port update firmware yes, but no PLX firmware a separate file.
How do you know that there is a separate PLX firmware that is available for the Titan Z?

Curious, and with respect, I don't see specifically PLX firmware for Titan Z, I don't see any reason to believe there is a separate PLX firmware.

Where does the assumption for separate PLX firmware for Titan Z come from?

I've seen this before, this is about matching the RPM Xenserver to the PLX on the card. It only offers the ability to read the Version from the card (-V).

I've never seen a downloadable or flashable PLX firmware for the card.

The cited article is about matching the Xenserver /in terms of Grid and Linux, nothing in the article is about flashing the PLX on the card itself.

There was an article on the HP website regarding the flashing of the PLX firmware, and another member here was able to read out the plx firmware (sadly he has not responded to me)

I extracted this plx firmware from the file linked above.

Isn't the file above strictly for the K80? Hope it works for you. Your requests are unique and you seem well informed. What are the advantages of flashing the K80 with Titan Z bios -a the K80 video output is suspect?

I want to try and mod the K80 into a titan z, its a personal goal at this point, but could be helpful down the road for others.

Any chance you might be willing to snap some high res pics, or trade me a RTX2070 for a few weeks while I document the card?

The goal of the pics is to help me locate the device ID straps, and the memory config straps if anyone was wondering.

Sir,
Ii can unbox remove one of the cargs out of their boxes but to take pcb photos it means taking the heat sink and back plate off. While I may consider taking a shot of the back after removing back-late , I would rather not wish to remove the front heat sink and all that is involved.
as for the 2070, thank you but I have no need for it, but thank you for trying to make the process even for those that may need it.

That's very generous of you, I appreciate it. are you willing to boot it up and dump the plx rom for us?

Also, willing to bribe you with Ferrari parts lol.

When I get back to the house this week I'll see about booting up and doing the titan z extraction for you. Not as simple as it sounds, my current PC is a little overly configured SFF and requires some effort just to plug in a titan z

I found I still have the PLX firmware from back when I recovered a bricked Titan Z. No guarantees this will work for you, but it's what I recovered mine with ~5 years ago. It should be a production ROM but verify and compare to any others you can find before flashing.

Can do! I planned on seeing if you guys want to start a new section for the PLX rom's

and also add a plx backup feature to gpu-z
Make sure to label them as PLX
