NVIDIA's GeForce NOW game streaming service sprung to limelight when the company inadvertently leaked the names of several games under development, which it likely to be aware of, making the leak credible. These include remasters or remakes to several "Final Fantasy" titles, a 2021 anniversary title in the "Tomb Raider" franchise, remasters of GTA "San Andreas" and "Vice City," an upcoming 2022 "Bioshock" title, an RTX remaster of "Mirror's Edge." The company today redacted the list and put out a statement that the list was "unauthorized" and only meant to be a speculative one meant for internal tracing of upcoming titles. To their credit, most of the titles are non-specific, and are rather numbers next to existing franchise names, or designations such as "remaster."

The NVIDIA statement reads:
NVIDIA is aware of an unauthorized published game list, with both released and/or speculative titles, used only for internal tracking and testing. Inclusion on the list is neither confirmation nor an announcement of any game.

NVIDIA took immediate action to remove access to the list. No confidential game builds or personal information were exposed.

The list of titles follows.

  • Final Fantasy Tactics Remaster
  • Final Fantasy VII Remake

GTA 3, Vice City and San Andreas Remasters

A while ago take two took down many mods for these GTA games.
Interesting to see what Rock* will make of Vice City and San Andreas, Vice City was one of my first 3D open world games I've played.

That is a strange list to publish, and different choice from WCCFTech as well. Link to the entire list was in the WCCFTech article:

Filtered? I mean your link has over 6000 entries of which a vast number has nothing to do with games on NOW or games to begin with, and it also includes DLSS stuff.

I think you need to apply prolonged torture on Gabe to see HL3 in dev :D

I was really pumped when I saw God of War in the list. It'd make sense for Sony to release it to PC gamers around the launch window of Ragnarok. But yeah, keeping my expectations very low for that.

I do, but the ones I care about were announced and trailered months ago. So I dont know whats so shocking or "speculative" at least regarding the games I care about.

I would much rather see Ghost of Tsushima on PC. With Nixxes now being part of Sony i fully expect to see this down the line tho.

True but i'll rather have a remaster or better yet a remake of a good game rather than something new that flops. I mean from the new games most are not very good.
From business point of view remasters make sense because these are almost guaranteed sales and the costs are very reasonable compared to making a new game from scratch.

I've heard rumors of a 2022 release, especially now that DMC5 is out. Here's hoping the plot rumors I've heard aren't true though.

Also hope Capcom doesn't ruin it with MTX like they tried to with the first game.

The first game, despite its many flaws, is one of my all-time favorites. Its mediocre world and story are more than made up for with its top-notch gameplay, visual design, and soundtrack.

I don't disagree, especially about the newer games, but remasters and remakes can vary in quality, you have great remakes like RE2 and then more mediocre releases like RE3, and then you have the controversies surrounding them when the people in charge of the title want to inject or change something in the game.

The industry doesnt take the same risks it used to so its mostly remake/remasters and sequels to successful IP's from AAA.

The pattern has been happening gradually all the way through the 2010s to now.
