That's some serious marketing jargon right there.

yeahhhhh no thanks .... although i gave Razer another chance with the Tartarus V2 (so far so good ... surprisingly)... the turtle beach Recon is half that price, also USB-C, same kind of rubberized grip (which will probably not flake off like Razer accommodated me with previous devices, namely an Orochi and a Destructor ) although less extra buttons, but IIRC all controller with that kind of gimmicks can only be configured with existing buttons on the controller and can't be additional input on a XBOX (which also give that limitation on PC) well there is also the "Mecha Tactil" (lol?) argument ... (sh!t shape tho ... closer to a PS controller than a XB ... but luckily still the XB analog stick placement )

in short Razer still the same overhyped overpriced (the Tartarus V2 is an exception ... Belkin is to thanks for ... )

Hmm, I need wireless!
just take a normal BT XBOSX or Elite or Recon ... then :D (i would never have changed my OG M$ XBONE Recon if not for that unplanned flight thru the open window )

Actually I'm still using a wireless xbox360 controller since 2014 :D But I'm always on the lookout just in case I need a new one...

I still have a wireless steelseries xl gamepad here unused in a box , It's decent quality but I didn't like the symetric stick positions. Tried to sell it in my country a while ago but none interested.:ohwell:

I still have a wireless steelseries xl gamepad here unused in a box , It's decent quality but I didn't like the symmetric stick positions. Tried to sell it in my country a while ago but none interested.:ohwell:
symmetrical analog is horrible for me ...
this is the one i had, the one that flew thru an open window :D rubber underside and the top are actually meshes, it was a worthy upgrade over the X360 one i had, no need for dongle, just a BT adapter, quite smaller than even the small XBOX dongle that replaced the big oval wired dongle and it was less than 60 chf for me
1631657118159.png

the Elite XBOSX (aka Elite series 2 ) is also a good, albeit pricey (but still better build than any Razer products imho ), option

the new one i use now (turtle beach Recon wired) is the same price as the M$ Recon although i lost the wireless option (3 meter braided cable tho ) and has some neat gimmick added to it and also 60ish chf (well as i mentioned in the "what is your latest tech related purchase" thread, i did not pay for it ... i would be angry at the culprit who broke the M$ Recon  if i did.)

Yeah, never for that price!

The person responsible for pricing took one too many tugs off the old crack pipe for sure.

boasting some of the fastest actuation and response times of any controller on the market through a combination of Razer's ultra-responsive Mecha-Tactile switch technology and a stable, competition-focused wired connection

Is this the same "response time" enhancements they boasted about on the Razer Raptor 27? If so, expect bottom-tier response time then

The new basic Xbox controller is pretty good ($50usd?). They updated it with USB-C and a new Elite-esque hybrid D-pad. I have the last-gen version with the regular D-pad and microUSB. As long as you use the Wireless Adapter if you sit far from the receiver. BT works identically within like 2m but quickly turns to poopoo

I had a Tartarus V2 while giving Razer a second chance and my experience was abysmal.

1) Invasive software which launches 3-4 process eating up a GB of ram... W T F

2) mouse switches for thumb d-pad, a pain to use, and broke in 6 months

3) software or hardware issues which made rather often on-key-release events to be lost in the void, so for the game the key was still in the down state, resulting in the effect of keys remaining stuck... until you noticed that and pressed and released the key again in the attempt of making that on-key-release event to be sent... oh man you gotta love precision platforming with that :S

Never ever Razer again. Never. Never. Never.

My old Belkin Nostromo n52 still works on the other hand. But I'll probably go for an Azeron next.

yeah ... i wish i never sold my n52 ....

the Tartarus V2 for now is "somewhat fine" one rank of 5 key more and the wristpad are kinda welcome ... Synapse is not using more than 70mb (although i hate Synapse, it's still better than what it used to be some time ago and i hate that, when there is an update, it remind me about Cortex, that i will never install ) thumb pad is fine for now, i only use it as the D-pad of a controller for consumable and not much putting it to use (although i like the stick ) keys are responsives tho ...

in short, i had a lot of Razer failure, only one mouse bungee (not hard to not fail something like that ... it would need a lot of dedication ) and a pair of Razer branded Gunnar glasses (well ... those are Gunnar but who knows ... maybe it's the branding that make it go "fubar" ) are still holding, tho i sold the bungee to a friend who is a blind fan of the brand (thus he would have no use for the glasses  ;) ), for now the Tart V2 is fine for my usage and if he does not live further than the warranty duration i will check alternatives

until now the weirdest left hand control device i used was a Microsoft Sidewinder Strategic commander, but that .... is interesting ... hummm ... i have a Cyborg ... but from saitek ... it was the name of the line the device itself was "command unit" iirc, 1 button more than the Tart 5 less than that .... fingerish gymnastic contraption
